Putuo Temple is a stunning and exquisite temple, with Chinese style architecture and mode, is also a Buddhism in the most important place in the local, temple can enter the interior visit, some monks are also resident here, the interior layout is also very large.
Putuo Temple in Kota Kinabalu was invested and built by a Chinese. There are many Chinese communities in Malaysia. Many of the rich are ranked by Chinese. There are many delicious things, and there are many monks in Putuo Temple.
Compared with the floating mosque built by the Malay government, Putuo Temple was built by the Chinese with funds raised. I deeply feel that it is not easy for the Chinese to stay outside! Another thing to add is that almost all the toilets in the scenic spots are charged, and they are not charged here. It is the Chinese people who are kind!

Great place to visit
Putuo Temple is in the suburbs and was donated by the Chinese in Sabah. Tourists can visit it for free. Kota Kinabalu is not very big, so it is only ten minutes' drive from the city, and it is about 10 ringgits by taxi with GRAB. The temple area is quite large. There are gates, parking lot, front hall, nave, apse, side hall, restaurant, dormitory building, small garden, kindergarten (yes, the kindergarten is fine, the Chinese kindergarten attached to the temple), Guanyin statue and other buildings, visit time About 2H. It is similar to domestic temples. What is more distinctive is that the temple has many murals. Basically, the outer walls are painted with large murals, which are very beautiful. If you are not in a hurry, it is very pleasant to have a fast meal in the temple, read Buddhist books and drink tea in the pavilion in the afternoon. The temple has free Buddhist books, newspapers and periodicals for free borrowing, and there is a self-service coin vending machine. The toilet is on the right side of the stairs on the right side of the apse (next to the kindergarten).
This is still a good spot to walk around to seek some quiet moments within their compound amidst our busy schedules and to take some snaps for remembrance.
It has a few small shrines within this temple so make sure you check them all out and pray for blessings while visiting all. The main entrance you will see a big tall goddess statue and up the stairs ...
buddhst temple with an outdoor guan xin statue. one of the local tour destination for most chinese tourist. normally not crowded on weekdays
Located in city of Kota Kinabalu a place worth visit. A very big statue at entrance gives a grand look..
There was a service happening when we visited, but we could still access a lot of the garden, smaller temple areas. Very beautiful and we didn't have to pay an entrance fee.
