Kunming, also known as the Spring City, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Yunnan Province, the provincial capital, a mega-city, and the central city of the Central Yunnan City Cluster. It is one of the important central cities in the western region of China as approved by the State Council, and an important city for tourism and commerce in China. The city administers 7 districts, 3 counties, oversees 1 county-level city, and 3 autonomous counties, with a total area of 21,012.54 square kilometers and a permanent population of 8.6 million, with an urbanization rate of 81.1%. When traveling to Yunnan, you must visit the Spring City, where many city parks and the Dianchi Lake Wetland Park, along with famous attractions such as the Western Hills Dragon Gate and the Ethnic Villages, are located right next to the urban area. Spending two or three days touring the Spring City will make you feel that time is not enough, and you will have the feeling of lingering and returning.

Luoyang | As the ancient capital of thirteen dynasties, how can you not visit the divine city of Luoyang! Walking through the streets and alleys of Luoyang, you'll feel like you've stepped back into the Tang Dynasty! 🔸Attractions 1. White Horse Temple The White Horse Temple is a bit far from the city center, so get up early to go, or else you'll be exposed to the scorching sun by noon. Longmen Grottoes It's recommended to visit in the afternoon, as the essence of the carvings is in the West Hill caves, and going in the afternoon avoids direct sunlight. If it's your first visit, you must hire a guide or rent an audio guide, otherwise, it's hard to understand. It's beautiful when lit up at night, but during the time I visited, the lights were not on in the evening, so if you want to see the night view, do your homework in advance. 3. Luoyi Ancient City / Ying Tian Gate / Li Jing Gate Just stroll around casually as you pass by. If you're not there to take photos in Hanfu, it's not particularly interesting, but it's prettier when the lights are on at night. 4. Luoyang Museum Almost all museums in Luoyang offer free admission! They are usually closed on Mondays, so adjust your schedule accordingly. The Luoyang Museum is huge, and you can spend half a day there, with free guided tours at fixed times on the first floor. 5. Ancient Tomb Museum Highly recommended!!! My favorite place in the entire Luoyang trip was the Ancient Tomb Museum, which is free! The 'Luoyang Classic Tomb Display Area' is very interesting. It was my first time seeing such a museum, and I learned a lot about ancient Chinese burial customs. 6. Mount Laojun It's a bit far, so I didn't go, but you can join a one-day tour group for convenience. Be sure to check the weather in advance. 7. Peony Garden The peonies in Luoyang bloom for only one month, so if you go in April, you can see them. There are many peony gardens, large and small, so be sure to give the full name when taking a taxi. 🔸Food & Drink You must try the various soups! Beef soup, mutton soup, donkey meat soup, served with a plate of sliced pancakes and a bottle of Huaibei, happiness! Spicy beef tripe is very delicious, and if you can handle spicy food, give it a try. Xiaojie Tianfu specializes in Sichuan snacks and is open 24 hours. The barbecue I had was from Kung Fu Monster, and their fried chicken is incredibly tasty; I even packed some to take away! 🔸Hanfu Experience In Luoyang, no matter what country, ethnicity, or dynasty's clothes you wear on the street, nobody finds it strange; this is also a form of freedom of dress. There are many shops on Minzhu Street next to Luoyi Ancient City where you can rent Hanfu and get makeup done, with prices ranging from 40 to 200 yuan, and some are negotiable. In any case, go early for a wider selection of clothes, and compare a few shops before deciding.
