The Kurashiki Archaeological Museum is located at the head of the bridge of Nakabashi in the beautiful area, where the small river turns. The Archaeological Museum is a typical Kurashiki-characteristic building. It is a warehouse of Baibi soil. The ancient warehouse is now an archaeological museum, displaying cultural relics unearthed in Kibi (Okayama) such as stone tools and copper duo. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, adult tickets are 500 yen.
This is an old town, very suitable for walking. The willow trees along the river are also very beautiful. Since I have been there several times, I did not go sightseeing in the building, except for souvenirs, I have been walking. The souvenir is "Kibi Dango" famous for the classic story of Momotaro. There are various flavors now. It's nice to walk in the historical and beautiful area.
The Kurashiki Archaeological Museum was remodeled using earthen wall warehouses. The museum displays stone tools and bronze statues, as well as materials unearthed centered on the Kibi area (southern Okayama Prefecture). It is worth coming to appreciate it! !
Kurashiki is an ancient city. There are a bit of antique buildings everywhere, and it feels a bit like the city of Kyoto. The streets of the wooden houses with 1 to 2 floors are very clean and there are not many tourists.
There are a lot of organs about visual effects and there is a miniature haunted house recommended!
