Don’t walk past this gem
I walked past this 3 times without realising what it is. Very discrete signs yet it is right at the entrance of the Beautiful District “Bikan”. It is an information centre and a small museum. The muse...

Original Text
Kurashiki Monogatarikan is located at the entrance of the Bikan Historical Quarter and is a free admission facility. After passing through the Nagayamon, which seems to have been built in the Edo period, there was a main building and a dozo. There was an office in the main building, and the dozo was an exhibition room. In the Dozo exhibition room, there is a special exhibition of the Bichu Chinese Studies Resource Room of Nishogakusha University, and a letter written by Eiichi Shibusawa, who is the face of the new 10,000 yen bill, was exhibited to Nakasu Mishima, the founder of Nishogakusha University. It's free, so you should feel free to stop by.
It is a facility where you can learn about the history of Kurashiki in the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter. I stopped by when sightseeing. Easy to use for breaks.
I took a short break while walking around the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter. There were toilets, small dining spots and exhibition facilities. The building also matched well with the scenic area. There is a locker in the building.
