A large columnar joint rock, Tachiiwa, was ahead of a narrow road from the national highway running in front of the roadside station Tenki Tenki Tango to the coast. The sandy beach on the west side of the Tachiiwa is the Gogahama coast. 5 We visited on weekdays in the moon, no one was visiting the coast, and we were able to monopolize the tateiwa, the calm Sea of Japan and the pale ocher sandy beach.

There is a strange rock near the edge of the beautiful sandy beach and a statue stands. I went off-season, but it was a spectacular beach even if it wasn't the sea bathing season.
I visited during the drive around the Tango Peninsula. Perhaps because of the off-season, I was able to enjoy the magnificent scenery, the rough winter waves hitting the Tateiwa alone, the beautiful sand, and a quiet time.
I went to Gogahama because I wanted to go to the beautiful sea. The entire Kyoto Jukan Expressway has opened, so it is reasonably accessible from Osaka.
