Rakuyo Church, the United Church of Christ in Japan

It is a Protestant congregational Christian church. It was established as a church that belongs to the Japan Union Christian Church on May 18, 1890. The current church was dedicated in September 1988 and was designed by the Vories Architectural Design Office. The cathedral was closed when I visited.

I noticed it in the inscription version of "The Church of Luoyang of the Japan Christian Church". I was about to pass by if I was just walking on the road in front of me, but there was also a sign about the "Rainbow Room" on the basement floor. By the way, when I looked up from the other side of the road, I saw a cross on the roof.

It's a church near the Kyoto Imperial Palace.

Luoyang Church faces Teramachi-dori, the southeast corner of the Kyoto Imperial Palace, and is adjacent to the south side of the Niijima Kaikan. It is a church of the Christian Church of Japan. The white outer wall was impressive. It is a church with a history.

　It is located next to the Niijima Kaikan, the residence of Jo Niijima and Yae, which enters north of Teramachi-dori from Marutamachi-dori. It is said that the land was purchased from Niijima Yae at the church of the Christian Church of Japan. I went to see it because it was designed by Vories Design Office.

１８９０ It was founded as a church that belongs to the "Japan Union Christian Church" in 1999, and then belonged to the "Japan Christian Church". The current church was designed by the Vories Architectural Design Office and was built in １９８８ years. Inside the church is a beautiful stained glass depicting "Prophet Jeremiah".
