Lake Biwa is very large, but this area is north of Lake Biwa, and it was clearer and cleaner than the water of Lake Biwa in the direction of Otsu. It is a very relaxing beach.
I visited on weekdays in early spring. Pine trees are along the lake, so it will be shaded in the summer. There is no depth, so you can enjoy the lake up close.
It is crowded with swimming legs in the summer. The traffic jam is terrible, so you need to have a timing to go home. Please note that it is also known as a speeding mecca.
It's nice that the water is clean and not popular. It's perfect for bringing playset for playing in the water and enjoying a relaxing bathing in the sea.
It is a small swimming pool in Lake Biwa. Parking is free in the immediate vicinity. There is a pine forest, so you can enjoy swimming with tents and sunshades under the shade of pine trees. It's freshwater and shallow, so it's okay to bring a small child.
