Mengtu River Valley, located in Shangmeng Township, Lixian County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, lies in the international ecotourism circle of Dajiuzhai. Shangmeng is a transliteration of the Tibetan language Shigu, meaning auspicious land. It got its name because it is located in the upper reaches of the Mengtun River. All the residents there are Jiarong Tibetans. The plateau blended landscape and mountain canyon landscape in Mengtuhe Valley are combined with the snowy mountain meadow. The clothing, songs and dances, folklore, religion, and art produced by the diversified Jialong Tibetan culture are even more attractive. The main body of the scenic area is composed of Gaoqiao groove, Laojun groove, and Yupi ditch.
