Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is not far from the ancient city of Lijiang. It is a sacred mountain range of the Naxi people and has 13 interconnected peaks with a breathtaking view. You can take a cablecar up the mountain while observing the vegetation changing from bottom to top. The foot of the mountain is a ranch. During the spring season, there will be a large number of flowers blossoming. The Yunshan Ping on the mountain side is regarded by the Naxi people as a romantic place. The top of the mountain is covered in snow all year round, and you can absorb the glorious sight of the glaciers when you are up there.

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, 25 km north from Lijiang city, takes around an hour drive to arrive.
There are 19 glaciers in the mountain, and the highest peak is Shanzidou(扇子陡) of 5596 M. While the reachable from tourists are 4680 M.
Need to register one day before, taking a cable up, you can have very clear view of the valley and mountain rocks, stunning view to be honest.
The cable will first take you to 4506 M platform to let you adapt to the climate and temperature🙊 I was super excited about this platform, from where we can not only have an open view of the mountain ridges and far away, but also can look up of the peak, fabulous😍😍😍😍😍
Then the next landmark is 4576 M. OMG, barely can catch my breath for only climbing up 70 meters😅 so tired and needed to rest every 10-15 meter. But anyway, I made it to the highest 4680 M, kinda big challenge in my life🤣🤣the highest mountain I have ever been to😘😘😘

1. Don't jump;
2. Don't stay too long on the mountain, otherwise you will have altitude sickness too when going down. Tell from my own experience😭😭
Jade Snow Mountain near Lijiang in Yunnan province is a sight for sore eyes 😍
Here you can see blue moon valley where the water is way bluer than my phone camera could capture
The water in blue moon valley is sacred to the people who live there and it is prohibited for anyone to go in, leaving it untouched by people and pristine ✨✨
If you happen to be in Lijiang, definitely take a day trip out to this mountain 🏔
When George Clooney first appeared with the salt & pepper look in Ocean's eleven, it was a mega hit with the audience. I couldn't resist 😁 myself in bringing that analogy when I looked at Jade dragon snow mountain 🏔️. It is a mix of both black and white look, caused by chemical salt (here salt is black) and snow. During summer times, if you choose to hike this place, then this is the place you can expect to see.
I did take the cable car upto the elevation of 4506 metres, then from there on hike some 300 metres which is totally strenuous as hiking 🥾 at an altitude of 4500 metres plus. Best advice would be to carry two big bottles of oxygen, which for sure will be useful. After hiking down again I took the cable car to go to the bottom. Have a snowy hike folks !!
Yulong park has few options for gaining your strength after going around the park. Yunnan is popularly known for its rice noodles particular style, and inside the park we only found one noodles option: Divine Dinning.
Plates are big, tasty, and few offers give you the possibility of creating your own style of rice noodles! Either with beef, chicken, vegetables, different types of tofu or mushrooms. You can also add few ingredients or sauces/vinegars to create your own mix. If you are not so fond of noodles, few rice options are available.
On the other hand, tea rice as staple for rice noodles is a must! Even if there’s sun outside, cold wind gets you. So this particular mix was all the energy I needed to continue my trip on another part of the park!
Location of dinning area is few steps away from Blue Moon Valley and Glacier Park bus transportation.
