Our hotel is very convenient to reach by subway! Day 6 (p11-p12) Since we were tired the day before, we started the itinerary in the afternoon, watched the musical The Phantom of the Opera. Christmas lights were already on, various streets to check out, and stopped by Selfridges to buy the limited edition Jellycat Day 7 (p13-p14) With limited time before the afternoon train, we went to the nearby Wallace Collection. Found out the Sherlock Holmes Museum is also nearby, so we checked in at the entrance (those interested can pay to go inside) London is really fun and great for shopping, there are still many places we didn’t get to in one week, looking forward to exploring more next time! Tips: 1. Our itinerary order was train - hotel - musical (skip if not interested) - specific attractions. Schedule the musical first, then arrange other plans. The White Cliffs were chosen for a day with relatively good weather in the middle of the trip. 2. Most museums and art galleries close at 6 PM, so please plan your time accordingly. 3. Museums that require reservations may not always check, but when crowded, it’s better to book in advance just to be safe. 4. Whether or not you’ve seen a musical before, I recommend trying one. Personally, I preferred The Phantom of the Opera for its top-notch stage design, props, and costumes. If you’re used to rock, pop, or rap, Hamilton is more recommended. Due to time constraints, we didn’t watch the equally classic Les Misérables.

Located on the Thames near Waterloo station it is made up of pods for upto 15 people that slowly move as the wheel turns. It’s in a great location as when you are at the top you can see the entire city, with no obstructions. On a clear day you can see Wembley Stadium. Canary wharf and planes taking off from the distant Heathrow and Gatwick. It can be a bit expensive, especially for families - but it is often found on deal websites if you are willing to go out of peak hours such as weekday mornings.
