Luoyang Ancient Tomb Museum in Henan | More than 20 tombs in a day! Are you coming or not?
Luoyang, located in the center of the world, is not only the ancient capital of 13 dynasties, but also a "feng shui treasure" in traditional culture. In the evolution of the city over thousands of years, Luoyang has not only witnessed the change of dynasties, but also left countless ancient tombs. These tombs carry the imprint of people's imagination of the afterlife in each era from the Xia and Shang dynasties to the Ming and Qing dynasties.
Luoyang Ancient Tomb Museum, as the only museum in China that displays the tomb system of multiple dynasties, is definitely one of the must-visit destinations in Luoyang. Of course, the most important thing is that after visiting this museum, you will understand how exaggerated those tomb-robbing movies and TV shows are.
The museum's exhibition content is divided into three major themes
⏺"A Grand View of Burial Systems - A Collection of Ancient Tombs in Luoyang"
Part One: "Heritage of the Luohe - Display of Typical Tombs in Luoyang"
Nine dynasties and 25 ancient tombs are on display, all of which are underground. Each tomb can be entered for viewing, with only murals and stone carvings remaining inside, especially the most famous Song Tomb noblewoman's door.
Part Two: "This Shore and the Other Shore - Exhibition of Ancient Tomb Culture"
Through pictures, cultural relics, models, multimedia retrieval and other forms, it displays the important archaeological discoveries in Luoyang after the liberation, and interprets the architecture, murals, sculptures, utensils, decorations, and inscriptions in the tombs of different periods to explain the thoughts, emotions, and ethics behind them.
Part Three: "A Thousand Autumns in the Underworld - A Grand View of Ancient Tomb Murals in Henan"
A total of 18 groups of 65 ancient murals covering 185 square meters from the Han, Tang, Song, and Yuan periods in Henan region are on display.
⏺"Brick Painting History - Collection of Song and Jin Carved Bricks Exhibition"
Connected to the first theme, this section displays a total of 106 Song and Jin carved bricks, divided into three categories: eternal offerings, great filial piety, and beautiful wishes. Through the visit, you can systematically understand the secular life and spiritual pursuits of people in the Central Plains during the Song and Jin periods.
⏺"Luoyang Northern Wei Imperial Mausoleum"
After leaving the first two theme exhibition halls, you can come to the entrance of Jingling, where the museum is located. Visitors can pass through the long tomb passage and directly descend to the imperial mausoleum to see the royal mausoleum of the Northern Wei Dynasty. The first time I went to visit the Tomb Museum, I felt very novel. The explanation teacher is humorous and the content of the explanation is also logical and clear. The most awesome thing is to restore the real tomb in the museum. While growing the insight, I also admire the wisdom and imagination of the ancients.
Because my father likes ghost blowing lights, tomb stealing notes, Tibetan password series, so I went to Luoyang Ancient Tomb Museum hahaha great! The tour guide is a boy with glasses Wang surnamed. The explanation is very interesting, the knowledge is super wide, and will take care of every "boss" in the group hahaha super awesome and very pleasant day
Teacher Lu Long has a lot of experience and the explanation is also very exciting. For example, the trickle and the martyrdom come, explain the special events of the owner's identity of each tomb room, explain to us one by one, especially the picture of the woman Kaimen of the treasure of the town hall, the mural of Hu people leading camels and the Jing Mausoleum Room of Xuanwu Wang. It has made a detailed and detailed explanation, opening up a new world of ancient people's concept of the death and rebirth of the dead thousands of years ago.
There are very complete stories, the plot is also very attractive, compared with other comprehensive museums, the script killing here is more substitutional, there are children can come and experience it, completely immersed in it
The tomb museum is still worth going. Don't book a manual explanation of the group. One person brings more than 30 people and gathers manually. Each tomb hall has a small space. It is impossible for people to walk with the scene. After a while, they will disperse with the tour guide. The experience is very poor. It is recommended to form an independent group, please explain, or look at a lonely.
The group with the boyfriend, Zhang Jianxiao teacher is very kind, speaks very well and meticulous, every explanation is very meticulous and vivid, the knowledge reserve is very rich, the questions raised will be patiently answered, and the questions will be asked to interact. It was also very intimate when visiting the tomb, reminding us to meet carefully from time to time. It took more than two hours, everything was said, and the route was arranged very well. Let us know a lot of knowledge clearly, and history lovers are very satisfied 😆!
