Trip to Lyon, France 🇫🇷
It was a trip to Lyon, France 🇫🇷 We started our day early ⛅️ and made our way up to Fourvière Hill, one of the best viewpoints in Lyon. As the sun rose, it cast a golden light ✨ over the city, making it the perfect time for breathtaking photos. From up here, we captured the iconic red rooftops of Vieux Lyon, the Saône River, and the modern skyline beyond. We also explored Basilique Notre-Dame de Fourvière, a masterpiece of architecture that looks stunning in the soft morning light ✨ If you’re looking for that postcard-perfect shot of Lyon, this is the place 🙌
📍8 Pl. de Fourvière, 69005 Lyon, France
After soaking in the views, we wandered down to Vieux Lyon, the city’s historic old town. The best time to explore is in the morning before the crowds arrive ☀️ We took pictures in the narrow cobblestone streets, with colorful Renaissance buildings as our backdrop. A must-visit is the Traboules, hidden passageways that are a photographer’s dream 🙌 Every corner of this neighborhood feels like a step back in time, making it one of our favorite spots 💯
📍31 Rue du Bœuf, 69005 Lyon, France
We then made our way to Place des Jacobins, one of the most beautiful squares in Lyon. The elegant fountain at the center, surrounded by classic Parisian-style buildings, makes for a fantastic photo spot 📸 We grabbed lunch at a nearby café ☕️ enjoying the lively atmosphere while capturing the beauty of the square. If you visit around midday, the natural light enhances the details of the fountain and surrounding architecture🙌

We also explored Presqu’île, Lyon’s central district, which is full of grand architecture and vibrant streets. We stopped by Place Bellecour, one of the largest squares in Europe, where we took pictures with the famous statue of Louis XIV 💯 The wide-open space allowed us to capture the city’s grandeur, and if you look towards Fourvière Hill, you get a stunning background 📸

We then went to Pont Bonaparte, a bridge connecting Vieux Lyon to Presqu’île. At night 🌙 the city lights reflect beautifully on the river, and the illuminated Fourvière Basilica stands majestically on the hill. We took the cable car up the mountain, and when we got off the cable car, we found ourselves standing in front of the church. After visiting the church, we found a place similar to a small garden, where we could have a cup of coffee while overlooking the city below the mountain.
Fourvière Hill is located on the outskirts of Lyon. It is very convenient to go there because it is a good place to overlook the old city, but it is a bit blocked by trees. There is a cable car to the mountain, and the view is really open.
Lyon is a famous city in the European Renaissance, with many proud cultures. It was the former printing center of France, the modern food capital, the birthplace of film, and the silk capital of Europe for 300 years. It is also the third largest city in France and is known as the "provincial capital".
Mount Fuvier is the cradle of Lyon and the birthplace of Lyon Christianity, so it is also known as the Prayer Mountain, and Lyon's Hanukkah is closely related to this mountain. Built in the 19th century, the Baroque Church of the Virgin, the Colosseum of the Ancient Roman period and the Gaul Museum of Rome. The tallest building is known by locals as the Pencil Building. The mountain opposite is the Croix-Rousse District, the hillside where textile workers gathered in the past, also known as the textile mountain. From here, you can also see the peninsula and district that gather in the middle of the two rivers. Of course, it is also a good place to enjoy the night view at night.
The town on the whole hillside is the biggest feature here, full of retro feel
Mount Fouvier is a great symbol of Lyon, the cradle of Lyon and the birthplace of Lyon Christianity.
Located in Lyon, there are many religious buildings on the hill and it is part of a world heritage site.
