The Macau Fisherman’s Wharf is located on the coast of the new reclamation area of the Outer Harbor. The complex contains hotels and over 70 stores and restaurants modeled after famous worldwide sea ports like Amsterdam and Cape Town. The concept of a “fisherman’s wharf” originated in Europe and the United States, and the markets form a unique part of Western seaside culture. The wharf is divided into three thematic sections, namely Tangcheng, East-West Convergence and Lijun Wharf. The imposing “Tangcheng” is a Chinese-style tower built in Tang Dynasty style, while East-West Convergence is a combination of Eastern and Western features and Lijun Wharf features a coastal design with a variety of recreational facilities. This is a great location for visitors to take photos and admire the ocean view.

Macau is full of exotic customs, and the Fisherman's Wharf has long enjoyed a reputation for this. The Roman Colosseum here is particularly eye-catching. Both sides of the shopping street by the seaside are full of colorful western-style buildings. Here, you'll find a replica of Notre Dame in Paris and Gothic architecture in central and northern European styles.
Fisherman's Wharf is the only place where you can get a taste of Rome in Macau. For a great view, stand on the steps the Roman Amphitheatre in the doorway. If you have enough time, try to check out the nearby restaurants and shops.
