Quiet な space
Original Text
It was a solemn temple standing in the quiet cityscape of Nishi Maizuru. When I called out to rent a toilet, I was mistaken for a memorial service person and was told, "Please go up," and when I found out that it was a mistake, I was told, "Use the public toilet there." I was very uncomfortable.
Take a walk through the castle town of Nishi Maizuru and there are streets dotted with historic temples and shrines. Enryuji Temple borders the precincts with Asayo Shrine. The main hall and Tahoto are wonderful. The turtle abdomen of Tahoto is tiled and unique. It is said that Gyoki was built in the Nara period, and many Buddhist statues from the Heian and Kamakura periods remain.
A temple famous for its rare Tahoto with scaled tiles. The principal image is dark and invisible, but it is designated as an important cultural property. The precincts themselves are not so large, and you can take a look around in 10 minutes. It is only straight west from Nishi Maizuru station, so there is no worry about getting lost, and it arrives in about 10 minutes even if it walks.
If you walk straight from Nishi-Maizuru Station on the map, you will hit it here. It is a mysterious sight for travelers to stand in the forest as if various religions were lined up against Mt. Atago. I was grateful for the fact that it was a designated cultural property of the prefecture, including the main hall.
This temple is located in Nishi Maizuru. It is at the foot of Mt. Atago. It is also said that Gyoki was built. This temple has a Great Buddha called Tango Great Buddha.
