From JR Matsuyama Station to Ojima, take the city tram line 1, 2 and 5; Matsuyama City Station to Oojio, take the city tram line 1, 2, 3, and 5; Oojiao ~ Dogo Onsen, take the city tram line 3 and 5 . Many hotels in the main street can take hot springs, so you don’t have to go to Dogo Hot Springs. And the entrance to the main street is Shinkong Mitsukoshi and MUJI. There are also many restaurants and cafes on the street. It is a short walk to Matsuyama Castle, so I think living in the main street is more convenient than staying in Dogo Onsen. On the morning of the weekend, a farmer's commodity exhibition was also seen in the shopping street.
The hotel I stayed in Matsuyama this time is in the main street. As far as transportation is concerned, it is more convenient than Dogo Onsen Street, and there are more shops to visit. Shinkong Mitsukoshi is next to it. Although there are many hot spring hotels in Dogo Onsen, you can also soak in the hot springs in the hotels in Okaido, so there is no need to stay in Dogo further away. It is very convenient to take the cable car from the main street to Songshan Castle, just a few steps away. There is also a big Muji in the main street, and Goshiki, a famous local cuisine restaurant in Matsuyama.
To ask where is the most convenient place for shopping and eating in Songshan, it must be the big street, so I chose to stay here. Although it is very convenient for dining and shopping here, pay attention to the business hours of each store. In fact, it closes quite early. It is basically closed at around 19:00, so if you want to eat, you must buy it early. Shinkong Mitsukoshi had a very special ceremony before closing. A strong young man of about 20 or 30 people carried a heavy shrine and walked back and forth about 400 meters in the main street, chanting slogans neatly. After completing this ceremony, the whole street is basically quiet, shops are closed and pedestrians go home
Walk slowly along the street and admire one by one. Some buildings in Japan are very special and worthy of everyone's taste. There are some characters from the anime stories on the streets, which are very realistic. There are also advertisements for some of the latest Japanese movies.
The busiest shopping street in Matsuyama City, it’s fun to buy and buy all the way
