Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque

This landmark is breathtaking. It is surrounded by a tasteful, but do mind that there's not much shade. For the climate, I recommend you to come here before it gets too hot (I visited in October, around 8am) especially to go around the mosque and take pictures. Many of the features inside, too, are impressive - like the world's second largest chandelier and handmade carpet (I was told it took them 4.5 years to make the carpet). Even though it is pulled together to look so simple and elegant, every part has something to delight you. I really enjoyed the mosaic walk along the corridors!

Muscat's Kabbs Sultan Mosque, not far from the international airport, is the largest mosque in the country. The overall style is in line with the low-key characteristics of the country, simple but solemn, and not the same style as the Abu Dhabi Sheikh Zeid Mosque.

beautiful mosque one of the best in the country. i was lucky enough to be visiting in ramadhan the hospitality was amaizing the night prayer was amaizing here too. i will definalty like to go back there again.
