An Unexpectedly Relaxing Cave Experience 🧘🏻
Before heading down the stairs into the cave, we were greeted by extremely friendly staff who took the time to have a short chat with us before snapping a photo in front of a giant cave backdrop. You’ll receive a small black-and-white version of the photo for free, and there’s an option to purchase a larger coloured version if you’d like.
Once inside, the first thing you’ll notice is that the ground is quite wet, so I’d definitely recommend wearing good shoes and taking it slow. The caves are thoughtfully lit, making the walk comfortable and enjoyable. Along the way, there are plenty of information plaques explaining the science behind the cave’s formation — mainly in Japanese and English, with some also available in Chinese and Korean.
As you can see from the photos, they use beautifully placed lighting aimed at the pools of water to create those colourful, almost magical effects. I even tried Googling how to shoot better dark-mode photos on my iPhone, but honestly, the pictures still don’t do it justice. You really have to see it in person.
Towards the end of the cave, there’s a dedicated selfie station where you can scan the QR code on your ticket to activate their camera and lighting. They even provide a phone stand positioned at the perfect angle for taking great shots.
Although it’s marketed as a 30-minute experience, we spent almost an hour exploring. There are a couple of benches and rest stops inside if you need a breather, and best of all, an escalator at the end takes you back up — no need to climb any stairs!

Сказочная пещера, что впечатляет своими размерами. Также в парке проводится шоу барабанщиков. Было интересно посетить музей посвящённый змеям.
Highly recommend this place! Needless to say, the cave itself is spectacular and worth the ticket price already. They will Even give a free photo for visiting the cave. The other exhibitions are interesting and give you an overview of the Ryuku Kingdom. There are plenty of food and drink options and lots of souvenir options! Even if you don't buy a workshop pass here, you can buy it on the day itself. Many of the activities don't take much time. I really enjoyed the experience despite the hot weather. Taxi from Omoromachi was around 4000yen, which we divided amongst our friends.
Awesome attraction with a wide variety of zones, from cultural to crafts to nature and an amusing tropical fruit tree exhibit. As most fruits were not in season, trees bearing fruit had a cute sign with eyes indicating to look here. Gokuusendo caves were beautiful and well laid out.
I bought three-in-one tickets for Yuquan Cave, Wangguo Village, Venomous Snake House, 1 650 yen for one person, 1 1500 yen for one person for the cafeteria in Wangguo Village, with a rich variety of food and many Okinawa snacks. Some people at the gate of Yuquan Cave helped to take landmark scenery, small photos for free, 1 300 yen for hardcover photographs, 550 yen for a bottle of beer brewed with Yuquan Cave Water, and put a very humanized bottle at the gate of the scenic spot. Self-portrait frame, easy to take family photos, rich experience activities, you can play in it all day, the following photos have a big drum show and snake show schedule, snake show can borrow free Chinese interpreter, but the content of the snake hall is available in many cities, can save time to other attractions.
It combines Wang Guocun, stalactite Yuquan Cave and Venomous Snake Museum. Stepping into the mysterious underground world, a spectacular stalactite cave - Yuquan cave was born from the coral reef, which makes people admire the great nature. Participate in all kinds of experience activities. We experienced the tea-making of the Ryukyu kingdom in the tea house. I also watched an energetic EISA that was so inspiring.
Gyokusen Cave is the largest stalactite cave in Okinawa and the second largest in Japan. It is also known as the largest underground art gallery in Southeast Asia. Recently, my children have become obsessed with Journey to the West. They always unconsciously put themselves into the plot, imagining that they are Sun Wukong who can kill all kinds of monsters.
Okinawa World Culture Kingdom recommends Gyokusen Cave. Gyokusen Cave is a limestone cave formed over 300,000 years. The number of limestones exceeds 1 million, making it the largest limestone cave in Japan. In addition to Gyokusen Cave, the Culture Kingdom also has other special projects. For example, the Viper Museum Park has a world-class viper museum, live snake and reptile displays, and viper and mongoose performances. Nanto Brewery. It provides beer brewed using groundwater from Gyokusen Cave, and the original Habu snake wine blended with extracts from the venomous Habu snake and 13 spices. There is also a tropical fruit garden. There are 100 species and 450 tropical fruit trees, including mangoes, papayas, pineapples, etc. You can taste tropical fruits such as pineapples produced in the prefecture and coconut juice at the snack bar next to the orchard.
The Yuquan Cave in Okinawa is somewhat similar to the caves in Guilin, but the difference is that the caves in Guilin are lit with various colored lights, making the stalactites colorful. There are many caves like this in China, so this is not new.
