. If you ask me which New York attraction is the ultimate "must-explore on foot," I absolutely have to recommend The Metropolitan Museum of Art (The Met)! From soaking up the lingering vibes in person right after the Met Gala, to exploring floor after floor of spectacular galleries, the entire museum feels like a time machine. From ancient Egyptian temples to Asian Buddhist murals, a whole day of walking isn't enough to see it all! Seriously, whether you're an art buff or a first-timer in NYC, The Met should easily top your bucket list.
Yesterday, they even had a free mosaic coaster DIY workshop.
✨ Trip Highlights

It's not just Western art; the Asian section, featuring Buddhist statues and murals, is incredibly captivating, with mysterious paintings waiting for you to discover.
2. Galleries spread across three floors, each with its own unique theme—it's a true feast for the eyes! And with the Met Gala having just wrapped up, the artistic atmosphere is especially vibrant right now~
3. Transparent Pricing: Adults $30, Seniors $22. It might be a bit pricey, but I promise it's worth every penny!

🗣️ Pro Tips (Based on my real personal experience)
· The museum is massive. Plan for at least half a day to a full day to really explore. Plus, it's open until 9:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, which is perfect for avoiding peak crowds and strolling at your own pace.
· I highly recommend studying the map first to pinpoint the galleries you're interested in; otherwise, you'll genuinely get lost.
· The AC is blasting inside, so bring a light jacket if you're staying a while.
· Photography isn't allowed for certain exhibits, so keep an eye out for on-site signs.
🍽️ Nearby Food Recommendations
· The Dining Room at The Met (Inside the museum): Hot/cold specialty drinks and light bites, the top choice for resting your feet.
· Museum Mile Food Carts: You'll occasionally spot hot dog carts right across from the main entrance. So NYC!
🚇 Transit Quick Facts
· Take the 4, 5, or 6 subway line to 86th St, then walk about 10 minutes to the museum.
· Buses M1, M2, M3, or M4 drop you off at 5th Ave, right at the museum's front steps.
Itinerary Box Summary: Rain or shine, no matter how busy your mind is, The Met is a museum that truly deserves your time to lean in and appreciate every single piece. Every time I step into The Met, I instantly want to come back. Just watch out for their closed day (Wednesday). Snap photos and expand your knowledge—it hits all the right spots in one go!
