The pillar tower on Zhaobao Mountain in Ningbo has such a legend: in ancient times, Zhaobao Mountain went out to the sea, and there were giant beasts infested, booming and waves, and the people were not peaceful. One day, a monk came to Zhaobao Mountain and told the presbyterian that building a tower here would ensure peace on the sea. The words were over, and a red light suddenly appeared. The monk did not know where to go. He presided over the elders to worship the sky and read "Ami Buddha". It was originally the guidance of Guanyin Bodhisattva. The pillar tower was built accordingly to protect the people's peace.
