Worth the visit
The temple has very Informative and friendly priests. The grounds are very well maintained. Very hospitable to foreigners. Interesting temple. Well worth the visit.
It is adjacent to the intersection in front of Sojiteradanashi Shrine. The date of its foundation is unknown. The design of the bell tower, which has been around since the 1600s, is modern but has no discomfort. There is an ashtray and bench between the mountain gate and the bell tower. Keyaki and buildings I don't think you can experience it at other temples during the blissful time of smoking while watching
It is a temple of the Shingon sect near Tanashi Station. The large red lantern with Fudoson facing the mountain gate is impressive. The adjacent Tanashi Shrine was crowded, but this is quiet.
About 5 minutes walk from Tanashi station. A temple of the Shingon sect Chiyama school, which was built as Saikoji Temple around 1620. Moved to its current location around 1650. Renamed Sojiji Temple in 1875. The principal image is Dainichi Nyorai. The old betto of the adjacent Tanashi Shrine. The current main hall was built in 1850. It was also called "Tanashi Fudoson" at the 10th Temple of the Kanto 36 Fudo Sacred Ground, and a large lantern with the words "Fudoson" was hung on the mountain gate.
I passed by when I was running on the Ome Kaido. The large foreheaded gate with the words "Mt. Tanashi" is magnificent. A large red lantern with the words "Fudoson" was also down below.

There's a smoking space in the precinct.
