[New Mexico❥White Sands National Park] The newly promoted national park in 2020, Brand New. The names of many things have not been changed. It is well-deserved. It is much better than the St. Louis Arch. The selling point of this park It’s endless white sand, not snow, it’s a white desert
One of the wonders of the world, the White Sands National Park in New Mexico, is dazzling, white as jade, and the boundless white world is unfolding before your eyes. Although the wind is whistling in your ears, the white sand is flying in front of your eyes, and the sky and the earth have become one, people can hardly stand and feel like they may be blown away at any time. I am still attracted by this magical beauty and marvel at the magical landscape created by Mother Nature for mankind! All the hard work and fatigue of the journey are completely forgotten, 200[%] more than I imagined. I am so lucky to finally come here to witness such a wonder with my own eyes. This place is really worth a visit... [Strong]
There was still an hour before the park closed and no tickets were collected. It was a pity that it was a bit late and the sun had set over the mountain. I didn't go around the whole circle in order to take pictures, but it was so beautiful, really so beautiful
I have seen yellow sand and black sand at the seaside and yellow sand in the desert. They are all formed from stones. Today, I finally saw white sand, which is not formed from stones but formed by water after millions of years of drying. This is the White Sands National Park next to the US missile test site in New Mexico, which is reached after driving more than 1,300 kilometers from the previous attraction. The reason why white sand is so unique is mainly because it is composed of tiny white gypsum crystals. These gypsum crystals sparkle in the sun, forming a spectacular white sand dune landscape. The area where White Sands National Park is located was once a huge lake, and a large amount of gypsum deposits were left after the lake evaporated. The wind blew these gypsum deposits away, forming today's sand dunes. The arid climate makes these gypsum crystals difficult to dissolve, thus maintaining the stability of the sand dunes. Uniqueness of White Sands National Park: * Color: Unlike the yellow sand in other deserts, the sand in White Sands National Park is pure white, which is very unique. * Shape: The shape of the sand dunes is constantly changing, affected by wind direction and precipitation. * Ecosystem: Despite the harsh environment, White Sands National Park still breeds a unique ecosystem, with many animals and plants that have adapted to this environment. The sunset at sunset casts golden light on the pure white sand dunes!
The White Sands National Monument is located in the western part of Otero County, New Mexico, 26 kilometers from the town of Alamogordo. The altitude is about 1,291 meters, but the vast area of about 710 square kilometers is relatively flat. Under the blowing of the wind, sand dunes of slightly different heights are formed, like waves, staggered and stretching far away. White sand is gypsum: a hydrated sulfate mineral In ordinary deserts, most of the fine sand is quartz particles, that is, silicon dioxide.
