Permanent Exhibition Closure
The Centre Pompidou is absolutely worth a visit. We especially enjoyed the 5th and 4th floor with the permanent exhibition. A must see when visiting Paris. You also have an amazing view over Paris, including the Eiffel Tower from the 6th floor.
·Feast your eyes on modern masterpieces: Europe’s most important collection of modern and contemporary art
·Watch unmissable exhibitions: discover leading figures of art from the 20th and 21st centuries, as well as outstanding contemporary artists.
·Appreciate the beautiful scenery of Paris: The museum is located in the Marais district in the center of Paris, only a ten-minute walk from Notre Dame Cathedral and the busiest neighborhood in Paris.
The Centre Pompidou is a centralized exhibition place for French 20th century culture and art. It is also known as the three major art museums in Paris along with the Louvre and the Musee d'Orsay. The entire building is like a construction site under construction, composed of steel pipes and glass pipes, which is entrenched among the elegant and beautiful ancient buildings in Paris. It looks particularly innovative and is known as the "refinery in the city center".
△ The first-floor lobby of the Centre Pompidou is equipped with cloakroom and left-luggage office, a cafe, a souvenir shop, a bookstore and a children's playroom. It also displays an architectural model of the entire the Centre Pompidou. There is a cinema, activity room and performance hall on the second floor, where exhibitions, concerts, drama performances, etc. are held from time to time. The third and fourth floors are open-shelf libraries with a large collection of books and easy borrowing. They are public libraries frequented by locals.
△ Located on the fifth and sixth floors is the National Museum of Modern Art. There is a viewing platform on the seventh floor, where you can overlook the panoramic view of Paris, overlooking the Montmartre district and the Sacré-Coeur Cathedral.
△ The outer walls are covered with colorful pipelines and steel trusses, which are distinguished by color: blue is the air conditioning exhaust system, yellow is the electrical system, and green pipes control water pipes. In the giant transparent cylindrical tubes, automatic elevators busily transport visitors to each floor.
△ The Centre Pompidou has a multi-field collection as its mission, with a collection of more than 100,000 works from 1905 to the present. It not only inherits the collection of the Luxembourg Museum, founded in 1818, but also houses art purchased by the state from living French artists.
△ Visitors can enjoy many incredible modern and post-modern art works.

A very exciting way to spend your afternoon. Bring your art lovers and open eyes as this is like a museum you’ve never been to before. Prepare to climb the floors of the museum in deep thought after every art work. Recommended for contemporary art enthusiast and curious admirers of the arts. There is even a popular library on one of the floors! Beautiful views of all of Paris. Very memorable.
Pompidou Center exhibits are mostly modern creation, including abstract art works, the center's architectural shape is also in line with the form of exhibits, but for me, a person who likes classical art works is quite disappointed, this is not the lack of the art center, but my appreciation angle is different.
Huge center of inspiration, starting from the building and its surroundings. Multipurpose place for modern arts and performances.
Centre Pompidou is located right at the central region of Paris. As a visitor, you might be very shocked by the odd and avant-garde gesture of this architecture, but it is indeed a very significant move in architectural design in Paris. As amazing as its design, I enjoyed the Norman Foster Exhibition during June 2023, had so much inspiration from this architecture and their exhibitions. Was definitely worth a visit. Tips: you might be able to purchase cheaper tickets by using student discount!
My son likes contemporary art very much. There are not only reading rooms, museums, children's areas, open-air rest areas, but also high-rise and look far. It can be a good choice for friends with children.
Although I don't know about modern art, the works of the exhibition surprised me, and I feel that there are many places to learn, which is worthwhile.
nice place for ppl who loves art. if you are nearby and find yourself with some free time, can definitely check out and take photos in such artistic place
