Peterhof Palace completely amazed me. The scale of the fountains and the beauty of the gardens were unlike anything I’d seen before. Wandering through the grounds felt like stepping into history—elegant, grand, and full of surprises.
Grandiose historical place. There are many beautiful fountains and a good view on a Gulf of Finland’s. Must see in St.Petersburg.
This place is a bit crowded, but amazingly beautiful! Fountains and exterior is absolutely breathtaking. Try a snack hot dog outside (yummy!)
The Peterhof summer palace was built in 1710 and is a place where the Tsar lived, similar to the Chengde Mountain Resort in China. The first place where Peter the Great lived temporarily to build the Kronstadt military port was a cabin, and later Peter the Great liked this place and built a palace here. The summer palace is also known as the "fountain capital", with more than 60 fountains built in pure gold and a complex fountain piping system. Today, the Summer Palace has become a complex of 18th and 19th century palace gardens, and because of its magnificent architecture, it is known as "Versailles of Russia". From the gate to the upper garden, it consists of three fountains, which can be visited without buying a ticket. Follow the road to the back of the big palace, it is necessary to note that the team enters from the back of the big palace, and individual visitors must go around the front door of the big palace, first buy the garden ticket into the garden, before buying the big palace ticket. The Grand Palace is smaller than the Yekaterina Palace, the luxury is slightly inferior, and no photos are allowed inside. The real highlight of the summer palace is the fountain in the garden. After visiting the Grand Palace, take a few steps from the main entrance to the most spectacular Golden Falls fountain. Down the fountain, there is a main road in the center called the "Sea Avenue", with many paths on both sides leading to various fountains and museums. Walk along the sea road to the Baltic Sea, there is a pier, for tourists to take a cruise back to the city center, about 40 minutes, the docking location is generally near the Winter Palace. Unfortunately, the day we went there was heavy wind and rain, and we didn't sail. We had to exchange the subway back to the city center. The road was 1 hour and 45 minutes one way. The garden ticket was 750 rubles/person, the Grand Palace ticket was 700 rubles/person, and the Grand Palace was about 2 hours to visit and the Garden was about 1 hour.
There are more than 150 fountains here. You can know how spectacular it is, and the architectural style is also very characteristic. It maintains European style. It is beautiful and beautiful. It will be more beautiful in summer. There are water columns with music everywhere. Peter the Great will also do it. There is also a special office in summer. Hot and cold weather work leisure two is not wrong!
1: I went today, there are too many people, almost people push people in, it is recommended to go back to the season, 2: There are many original paintings inside, portraits of Peter the Great, portraits of Yekaterina I II and his children, 3: There was a house that was not fried in World War II, and it was well preserved. 4: There are many fountains in the garden. Very beautiful, 5: It takes about an hour to drive from the city to the summer palace. 50km.6: It is recommended to charter a car to have a professional tour guide. The cost is about 15,000 rubles for 5 hours and about 1600 RMB. It includes tickets, cars, professional tour guide fees. It will be much better to have a professional tour guide.
At the pier opposite the Winter Palace, you can buy round-trip ferry tickets to the garden under the summer palace. After arriving, you have to queue up to buy tickets to enter the summer palace. There is no Chinese explanation. You can buy a Chinese summer palace tour guide, 450 rubles, you can visit while watching the explanation. And there are the introduction of the fountains in the garden, lunch is simply in the garden takeaway car to buy hot dogs, if you buy a round-trip ticket, do not visit the garden, because after the garden can not re-enter the boat dock, unless you buy tickets again.
Iron Line 2 2 stations, transfer to Line 1 4 stations, out of the subway station, Penguin went to the newspaper kiosk at the door to ask, before waiting for her to open, the people in the kiosk knew what she asked, pointed forward to point direction. Perhaps because St. Petersburg is a tourist city, maybe St. Petersburg is just the size of the city, maybe we have adapted to this illiterate state, anyway, it feels more comfortable than in Moscow, and the spirit is relaxed. Take the bus opposite the subway exit. We just came out of the underground passage. Someone came to solicit customers. The unified price is 70 rubles and give us a discount of 65 rubles. The minibus K424 Road, the driver bought the ticket, showed him the photo of the summer palace, he nodded and said yes, about 30 minutes away. We don't know how many stops to take, nor did we report the station, of course, we can't understand the station, we estimate that we are approaching, ask the passengers, two passengers still quarrel, because one said there are two stations, one said there are three stations. Then an aunt insisted on letting us get off the bus, the driver meant to have a stop in front, and later we thought that the summer palace must be very big, so the bus will have multiple stations. We got off the bus and found that it was a free park. The penguin responded that it was the upper garden of the summer palace. Peter the Great summer palace, also known as the "Russian summer palace" and "Peter palace". Located in the forest on the south bank of the Gulf of Finland, it is about 30 kilometers from St. Petersburg, covering nearly 1,000 hectares, designed by the Swiss Domenick Tregini, the outskirts of the Russian Tsars and the early architecture of St. Petersburg. Summer Palace (Petrodvorets) 9:00am to 8:00pm, free up the garden, 500 rubles down the garden, 550 rubles. In English, tell the conductor that the summer palace must say Peterhof, saying that people do not understand. Peter Palace City has the name of Versailles Palace in Russia. As soon as we arrived in St. Petersburg and the summer palace, we saw the colorful Russian suburbs and rural scenery. Compared with the church and museum, we have a more psychological sense of identity for the natural scenery. All Russian folk songs are ringing in our ears, in the song of the wind and the wheat and waves. We walked lightly on the rustling leaves, the trees leaping squirrels, and we walked slowly to the Gulf of Finland.
