A delightful 4-day, 3-night trip to Malaysia
Hello everyone~ Today, I’m sharing a review of my trip to Malaysia, a country brimming with charm, unforgettable experiences, and a harmonious blend of cultures 🏙️🌴. This trip lasted 4 days and 3 nights, focusing on relaxing sightseeing, capturing beautiful photos, enjoying delicious food, and strolling around to refresh the soul. Perfect for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle and recharge while collecting plenty of memorable snapshots!
🌈 Day 1: Kuala Lumpur – Hello Malaysia~
We flew from Don Mueang Airport to KLIA2 (Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2), a flight of just over 2 hours. Upon landing, we immediately opened Google Maps and downloaded Grab, which is super affordable. A ride from the airport to the city costs only about 50-70 MYR.
We chose to stay in Bukit Bintang because it’s convenient, close to malls, public transport, and most importantly… there’s plenty of food! 🤤 Just a short walk away is Jalan Alor, a famous night food street.
We kept the first day relaxed, starting with a visit to Merdeka Square, a landmark featuring a giant Malaysian flag in the center. It’s perfect for strolling, taking photos of colonial-style buildings, and enjoying coffee at nearby cafes with such a cozy atmosphere that you won’t want to leave.
In the evening, we explored Jalan Alor thoroughly! The street is packed with food stalls offering fried snacks, desserts, fruit shakes, seafood, and the must-try Satay. The marinated meat is grilled to perfection and paired with a delicious Malaysian peanut sauce—absolutely divine! 😋
🌸 Day 2: Iconic Twin Towers and Batu Caves Adventure
We started the morning fresh and headed to Malaysia’s most iconic landmark—the Petronas Twin Towers ✨. The garden behind the towers offers a legendary photo spot where tourists from all over the world gather to capture the best shots.
We didn’t go up to the Skybridge due to long queues and the relatively high price. Instead, we took photos from below and saved time for other attractions.
In the afternoon, we took a train to Batu Caves, a famous Hindu temple with 272 colorful rainbow steps. If you plan to climb, wear comfortable shoes and bring water—it’s quite a workout! But once you reach the top, you’ll realize it’s totally worth it 🙏✨.
Inside the main cave, the atmosphere is grand and cool, offering a serene and calming experience. There are playful monkeys around too—adorable but mischievous, so be careful with your food! 🐒
In the evening, we returned to Bukit Bintang and visited Pavilion Mall. This luxurious mall features high-end brands, chic cafes, and a food court designed like an ancient Chinese town—perfect for stunning photos 📸.
🐚 Day 3: Exploring Putrajaya – A Romantic New Capital
We woke up early and took a Grab to Putrajaya, a city known for its government buildings and stunning architecture that feels like stepping into a magical world 🏰.
The highlight was the Pink Mosque (Putra Mosque) by the lakeside. Its pastel pink tones against the clear blue water create a dreamy scene 🩷. Visitors can enter the mosque (modest attire required), and women are provided with headscarves. It’s a fascinating cultural experience, and the locals are incredibly friendly and welcoming.
Afterward, we took a 30-minute boat ride around the lake, enjoying views of the parliament buildings, modern Islamic-style bridges, and the serene cityscape—it felt like a slice of heaven 🛶.
Back in the city, we stopped by Central Market to shop for cute souvenirs like keychains, tea, local snacks, and trendy Malaysia-themed T-shirts 🎁.
For dinner, we tried Korean BBQ near our hotel (yes, Malaysia has BBQ too! Though it’s chicken, beef, and seafood instead of pork). It was a nostalgic yet delicious meal at a very reasonable price.
🌟 Day 4: Farewell Morning
On the last morning, we checked out of our hotel with a heavy heart, feeling deeply connected to this city 🧳💔. Before heading to the airport, we enjoyed Nasi Lemak, Malaysia’s national dish consisting of coconut rice, boiled eggs, fried fish, cucumber, and spicy sambal. It’s reminiscent of Thai mixed rice dishes and absolutely addictive!
We then boarded our flight back to Thailand, carrying countless wonderful memories.

✨ Summary of a charming trip you’ll love 💖
Malaysia is a country that beautifully combines nature, urban life, and culture. It’s easy to travel around, affordable, filled with friendly locals, and offers delicious food that will leave you craving more.
We spent approximately 6,500 THB (excluding airfare), enjoying good food, comfortable accommodations, and a complete itinerary. If you’re looking for a quick 4-day escape, let Malaysia be your heart’s retreat—you’ll surely fall in love just like we did 🧡.
The water mosque is located in Sabah, Malaysia, and the white buildings are reflected in the water, suitable for taking pictures. Open time 8:00-17:00, long clothes and long pants are required. Tanrongya Road Beach is a 15-minute drive from the mosque. It is one of the world's three major sunset resorts. The best time to watch 18:00-18:30. Two attractions are free. It is recommended to visit the mosque in the afternoon and go to the beach to watch the sunset.
The Pink Mosque takes the yellow line No. 12 subway to the terminal putrajaya. After leaving the station, I took a taxi to the Pucheng Lakeside Club. The fare is 7 yuan. Here, the panoramic view of the Flour Red Mosque in the water can be clearly seen. Take a walk along the lake and feel the tranquility of the surrounding area. The boat for 2 yuan per person takes the Pink Mosque from the shore (can be paid for in cash) because it is not clear how long tourists can enter the mosque (unfortunately did not enter before 10 o'clock), so you can also go to the Pink Mosque first and then go to the Lakeside Club to see the panoramic view of the mosque in the water.
A National mosque in Putrajaya, the territory of the Political Centre of Malaysia, with its robust architecture adapting the features of various notable structures in the world.
I think this mosque is one of the top three in my trip to Malaysia. It's hard not to love the pink exterior and interior. 🕌It's not big, located next to the Prince Plaza in the administrative center of Putrajaya. It takes half an hour by taxi from Kuala Lumpur, and there is also the Prime Minister's Office next to it. Ladies should be careful not to expose their hair and limbs when visiting. You can borrow the red robes in the temple for free. You can also wear long-sleeved hooded sun protection clothes, long pants or long skirts. It's more beautiful to go to the other side of the lake to take pictures. The children thought it was too far and didn't go there. There are cruise ships under the square, and you can take a boat to visit Putrajaya.
Pink mosque, different from the general mosque, this trip to Malaysia, feel the most distinctive, the most special color of the mosque. The purple robes rented by mosques are not very attractive and hot. If you want to go to mosques in the future, you'd better wear your own trousers, a long sleeve jacket with long sleeves over your hips, and a wrapped head silk scarf. They certainly look better than the purple robes borrowed by mosques.
If you have a pink plot, you must go to the scenic spots. From Kuala Lumpur to Bucheng. There is no pink Mosque on the map, but it can be found on the travel app, and then go to Baidu or Google Maps to find her real name. It's easy to go once. I bought tickets at KL Senrtral's Transit and went to Putrajaya for only two stops. I felt like it was coming soon. It didn't seem to take 45 minutes. Everyone had 14 cents. Then we transfer to the bus. We're sitting at L15, 1.5 cents per person. It is said that this is to take everyone around to see the various scenery of Bucheng. So I'll go around some circles. But it's very convenient to get off at the gate of the mosque. The route given on the map uses only the first half. App Map can be used, but you still have to walk through it to know how good it is. [Come on] [Come on] [Come on] I'm terrific. [/cp]
See the building is still magnificent, pink is very feminine color, free of charge can visit very good, everyone in good order, see the mosque and then go downstairs to drink three-color milk tea super delicious, and then go to the square to see the Premier's Palace is quite good.
