The Trestle Bridge is located on the southern coast of Qingdao's downtown district. It is a 440-meter sea promenade that extends from the land into the sea. Show More ReviewsZhanqiao Pier, built in 1891 (the 17th year of the Guangxu Emperor's reign), is Qingdao's first modern artificial naval pier. It is 440 meters long and 10 meters wide, with the Huilan Pavilion at its southernmost end, a two-story octagonal pavilion with double eaves and glazed tile roof. Located on the north side of Qingdao Bay, it faces Xiaoqingdao Island across the water, where waves crash against the rocks, making it ideal for beachcombing. It is also adjacent to the First Bathing Beach. Across the bay is the century-old Zhongshan Road pedestrian street, featuring many colonial-era buildings.
