Haixin Mountain, also known as Huxin Island, is located toward the south of Qinghai Lake. It is milky white and shaped like a conch, registering one of the classic attractions of Qinghai Lake. Staying away from the madding crowd, Haixin Mountain has always been a treasure place for Tibetan Buddhist monks since ancient times. These monks arrived in the island during the winter and did not return any more throughout the year. There is also an ancient city on the Haixin Mountain, which is the “Yinglong City” built by the famous Tang Dynasty’s general Geshu Han. There are many broken bricks and cultural relics unearthed in the city. Standing on the heights of Haixin Mountain and overlooking the panoramic view of Qinghai Lake generate such a pleasant and relaxing experience.
