Chenghai Tower

＂ Chenghai Building ＂ is located in the old Longtou Great Wall of Shanhaiguan. It was originally built in the beginning of Ming Dynasty. During the Ming Wanli period (1611 ～ 1615), it was expanded to ＂ Chenghai Building ＂, ＂ Chenghai ＂ that ＂ The sea clarifies that the sea does not carry waves ＂. It is a allusion circulating in the world, symbolizing the rule of the saints. The world is peaceful, once known as ＂ Zhisheng Building ＂. Upstairs there is Qianlong Emperor's imperial question ＂ Chenghai Building ＂ and the ＂ Xiongxuan Miles ＂, written by the calligrapher Mr. Hou Zhengrong. The Qing Dynasty Kangxi, Yuanzheng, Qianlong, Jiaqing, Daoguang and other emperors returned to the northeast Fuling through Shanhaiguan, and the Chenghai Building became a classic project. The tower was overlooked, the sea was swelling, and the clouds and water were vast, which was extremely spectacular. In 1900, Chenghai Building was destroyed by artillery fire by the eight-nation coalition forces, and the current Chenghai Building was restored in 1987.
