Quebec ☔️ One day trip to the old town～
The main church of the Sanctuary of Our Lady is under repair. You can enter from the side door to visit. I encountered a wedding and saw a beautiful bride. Very few relatives and friends attended. We were very gossiping and guessed the reason for a long time [smile]
It is the oldest church in this parish in North America and the first church in North America to be upgraded to the Pontifical Temple (1874). It is currently listed as a World Heritage Site. The cathedral has a neoclassical facade, decorated with rich artworks: stained glass, paintings and altar lamps (a gift from Louis XIV).
When I first came to Canada, the library inside the Parliament building suffocated me and felt beautiful. But when I came to Montreal, after seeing Notre Dame Cathedral, I felt that other buildings were nothing.
North American Churches (1)|Quebec Notre-Dame Cathedral⛪️Walking into the oldest cathedral in North America When I walked into the Notre-Dame Cathedral, I saw from the eyes of the believers what they call devotion and faith. They silently prayed in their eyes I am firm and I am not a believer. I also envy them for having such a power to say: "He who has faith is happy." Perhaps if a person has faith, it is equivalent to having spiritual support. Perhaps, a person with a sense of support, with a beautiful and noble faith, is full of courage and persistence in life. Whether it is a god in the west or a bodhisattva in the east. Perhaps, with faith, it has achieved a way of behavior, a kind of inner shaping, a happy destination... ————————◤Name◢Quebec Notre-Dame Cathedral (Basilique-cathédrale de) Notre-Dame-de-Québec)◤Coordinates◢Buade Street, Quebec City 20, Place de Arms⏱◤Opening hours◢08:00-16:30◤Price◢$8◤Best time to play◢The best way to go to Quebec The season is summer and autumn. The twin towers are nearly 70 meters high, and the oldest clock in North America hangs on the west tower, which resembles the Notre Dame Cathedral. The sun shone on the spire of the tower for a moment, spreading all over the face, giving a sacred aura. go
Compared with Notre Dame Church in Montreal, the color here is much softer than Notre Dame Church in Montreal. The whole inside is golden, only the roof shows a touch of blue, which reminds people of some religious stories.
The whole inside is gold, only the roof exposed a blue, not without people want to go to some religious stories.
I like to walk through this old cathedral. When I was there, a person was playing the organ, so I sat there for a while and grasped the rhyme of the piano. The Holy Gate will open on November 13, but I decided to cross that long line. I don't quite understand the big deal of walking through there.
