Basilica of St. Agnes Outside the Walls

St. Idron's Hall, an ancient church dating back to Connecticut, was honored by the Pope in the seventh century near the burial grounds of Virgin and the martyr Anis. The structure still provides a brilliant Byzantine mosaic, with a large number of visitors every day.

St. Idrons Church is a Roman Catholic Bucklo-style Church in Rome, Italy. It was founded in 1652. It is located in the ancient stadium of Domitian, the place where the early Christian Saint Idrons died, that is, today's Navona Square. Inside the church there are Baroque marble sculptures dedicated to the martyred saints. There are four altars with relief on the pillars, which are set in a semicircular niche. The church also contains the skulls of the martyrs.

The whole church is full of holy feeling and loves its architectural style.

This early Christian church is within walking distance from the apartment and contains one of the most extensive and complete catacombs in Rome. It stands on the crypt of the 13 year old martyr, St. Agnes who was buried in AD304 during the reign of Emperor Diocletian. The church is said to have been built at the request of the Emperor Constantine's daughter, Constantia, after she had prayed at the tomb of St. Agnes for delivery from leprosy.
