Ruili Tour | The Declining Jade Capital, not recommended for a special trip before the Spring Festival departure from Dali
Ruili Tour | The Declining Jade Capital, not recommended for a special trip before the Spring Festival departure from Dali. On the way from Dali, self-driving through Mangshi to Ruili Tengchong, this small town on the China-Myanmar border was once a bustling jade capital.
It is not recommended to travel to tourist spots just to check in and pay for the experience.
My rating for Ruili is higher than Mangshi, perhaps because I had no expectations, or perhaps because it was an eye-opening experience.
See for yourself and then decide whether to go to Ruili.
Picture to Picture One Village Two Countries 39
The place I was most looking forward to in the whole journey, a natural village divided into two countries by the national border. Thinking that since there are still villagers living inside, it must be full of cultural collisions. As I entered and went my way, what did I see? A national park under construction? The only high ground that overlooks the other side requires a second fee... A water well and a swing are check-in spots... Through the green iron fence, you can see the dilapidated village in Myanmar, with Burmese people working by the roadside greeting me in Chinese. The busiest place in the whole scenic area is the red brick building, where those who take photos can get good shots, but this is not what I wanted to see here. For those who like red brick buildings, please go directly to Maitreya Dongfeng Charm.
Picture to 0: The Great National Gate + Duty-Free Shop
A five-minute tour, for friends with nostalgia, you might want to take a look. The duty-free shop is not recommended, feels iia.

The most surprising part of the journey was the night market in Delong Jade Capital, so this is what raw stone trading is like. In a large shed of thousands of square meters, completely dark without lights. Sellers use lamps for viewing raw stones to search in the darkness (here I must praise the night mode of the iPhone, which is completely invisible on site). As the saying goes, it is better to travel ten thousand miles than to read ten thousand books, and today I have gained new insights. I was wondering why the locals asked us to go at night, and when I first arrived, I saw rows of jade stalls and felt nothing, until I walked into the darkness at the back, then I suddenly realized.
If you want to buy jade, go directly to Duobao City, there are quite a few choices. End of pictures: Ruili Live Crabs
The live crabs that I queued for half an hour and didn't get to eat in Mangshi, Ruili here is the main store. Two people ate for $350 without drinks, and I am very satisfied with the freshness and tenderness of the crabs, recommended.
In summary,
Ruili's tourism resources are not enough to justify a special trip, the whole city exudes a sense of depression, not recommended for a special trip.
As a veteran attraction of Ruili, it is still worth a visit. It was still very careful at the beginning, but after all, it has been more than 10 years, and it feels a bit old, because it is not a monument, it is a business and interesting scenic spot.
The scenic spots of Yizhai and the two countries are worth playing carefully. The buildings for a few years are very distinctive, and the photos are very good, and you can keep shooting. The area of the scenic spot is also quite large, you can walk and stop for a long time. You can see the border line, the world's most expensive border line.
A scenic spot built by humans, the sculpture is rough compared to some other attractions, except for some concepts of the China-Myanmar border, the rest of the place is not cost-effective, the business is not very good, the whole feeling is relatively depressed.
The photos here are very good. The scenic spot is not particularly large, but looking at the fence is Myanmar. It feels very novel. It is just that the bridge spans two countries and the two countries in the autumn. It is different from the imagination. It is an ordinary bridge and swing. Can't go out, very short, and the fence is surrounded by
**The two countries are located in Ruili City, Dehong Yi Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China, next to border No. 71. This unique attraction is a Yi village. Due to the division of the national boundaries, the same village belongs to China and Myanmar. Residents can travel freely between the two countries, and visitors can experience the wonderful feeling of crossing the two countries one step. The two countries not only have a unique geographical location, but also a rich cultural and historical background. Visitors can enjoy authentic Dai cuisine, enjoy the scenery of Myanmar, visit attractions such as Mangxiu Buddha. The scenic spots of Yizhai two countries have also added some special projects, such as Southeast Asia Crocodile Show, "One singing two countries, drinking one river" and other activities, enriching the experience of tourists. In addition, due to the implementation of epidemic prevention and control measures, the prevention and control of the border line has increased, and the number of tourists has decreased, but it has had a certain impact on the lives of local residents. Nevertheless, the "cytowave" friendship between the border people of China and Myanmar remains unwavering. In general, the two countries are not only a tourist attraction, but also an important window for cultural exchanges between China and Myanmar, showing the beautiful scene of harmonious coexistence between the two peoples.
In Ruili, Yunnan, there is a small attraction - Yizhai two countries, located next to the famous border monument 71, is a typical "one village and two countries" geographical wonder. The border line divides a Yi village in two, the Chinese side is called Yinjing, and the Myanmar side is called Mangxiu. There is a street of small commodities in China and Myanmar, as well as a folk village. Before the epidemic, it was said that it was very lively, but now there are some doors to be opened. But you can visit the Mangxiu Buddha, the Chinese Myanmar Bo Lover Ti, and the Bagan Myanmar Tallinn to experience the exotic customs across the border. Chinese and Myanmar people often travel to and from the two countries to do a veritable "transnational business". There is a minority, the Nabu Island ethnic group, also known as the "long neck ethnic group", which is the world's least populous ethnic group, and there are said to be fewer than 50 people in Myanmar. You can take a photo with them.
The attractions are not big, basically all humanistic scenery, the red towers are beautiful and artistic, and the elements of the two countries have been played to the extreme. There is also Yinjing Port next to it, and Yinjing Village is worth visiting. The ticket price is affordable. It is a must-visit attraction in Ruili.
