It was a lovely trip. There is a good walk to the end of the cliff if you are coming by train. At places, the walk is naturally steep because it's a hill, so I won't prefer going on the hottest days. The best time I would say would be March-April or August.
went to see the cliffs closer to Seaford / Eastbourne, where there is easy and free parking, and not too many people (more sheep than people). so peaceful. shame about having to drive through some sad areas to get there.
white cliffs of dover is the most beautiful place in England. I highly recommend it, hoping to come back again in the near future.
The White Cliffs of Dover are one of England’s most famous natural landmarks, standing as a majestic symbol of hope and resilience. These dramatic chalk cliffs, rising up to 350 feet, overlook the narrowest part of the English Channel, a natural barrier just 21 miles wide that separates the United Kingdom from mainland Europe. The cliffs get their brilliant white color from the chalk that forms them, made up of the remains of tiny sea creatures that settled on the seabed around 70 million years
Dover white cliffs( The seaside is windy, you can also bring some hot water food, don't litter) Dover White Cliffs is a famous attraction in Britain. There are two white cliffs in the UK, one in Dover and the other in Brighton. I only go to Dover, because I am more biased towards Dover White Cliffs when I choose. We drove up the hill from the castle to the car park at Dover White Cliffs, which seemed to cost five pounds. Then we started hiking like the East Yan coastline, and ended with a lighthouse. There is a small restaurant in the parking lot, and there is a hiking introduction to the entire coast at the door. It is recommended to read the route first and know where the landmark is. We don't know that we can go under the cliff because we didn't see it, but it's okay. I think it's very good to walk on it. Below to enjoy the photo, the last white tower is the lighthouse can walk past there is food.
Walking from the castle is a bit round, you need to cross the forest path, you can go directly to the road on the coast, catching up with the sunny day is particularly cool, that is, there is no energy to go further, the scenery connected by the mountains and the sea is really beautiful, the cliff edge is not very safe, but the open lawn and view, The passenger ships in the harbor, and the French on the same white cliff opposite? are refreshing.
The white cliffs of Dover are a 5km-long white cliff at the Cape of Bichi in the English Channel. The cliffs reach a peak of 110 metres and are composed of fine limestone. The white cliffs of Dover are now considered to be the symbol of England, and the most conspicuous of all is this beautiful white cliff from the European continent.
