Ancient Siam of 76 Provinces - Thailand's Miniature Park
I noticed this itinerary a few years ago but never really paid attention to it! This time, since I've almost visited every corner of Bangkok and its suburbs, I didn't know where else to go and that's when this attraction caught my eye. Initially, I wasn't optimistic about it, but after seeing everyone's shared strategies, I became interested. The key point is that purchasing tickets online in advance, which includes an all-you-can-eat buffet lunch, is really affordable. All experiences tell me that it's essential to buy tickets in advance, as it's more expensive on-site!
Bangkok was formerly known as Siam, so the Ancient Siam of 76 Provinces is sometimes referred to as "Ancient Bangkok of 76 Provinces" online. This place is essentially Thailand's version of a miniature park... It covers a vast area, and I discovered during my visit that some parts are still under development!
Since I pre-purchased my tickets on a platform, I needed to exchange them at the counter upon entering the park. While exchanging the tickets, the staff provided a map for reference and also gave suggestions (advising which spots are must-visit/photo spots). There were many counter staff, offering services in English, Chinese, and Thai. While exchanging tickets, they also asked if I needed to rent a golf cart (how long in advance), which required a deposit, and the fee would be deducted upon return!
The park is really too vast to explore on foot alone; it would probably take a whole day to walk through. I naively thought one hour would suffice, but it was beyond our expectations... We quickly visited each spot, focusing on the highlights, and still spent two hours... I must say, this place is really worth a good visit, thumbs up! If you have plenty of time, I highly recommend at least spending half a day or a full day for a leisurely tour; it would be very appropriate!
Although the attractions in each area are just scaled-down versions, they are not taken lightly and are seriously focused on the characteristics of the attractions. Each spot is very interesting, and if you don't carefully select the sections you want to see, it's not an exaggeration to spend a whole day there~
The buffet lunch was beyond words! Just entering the restaurant's main entrance, there was a welcoming dance (performing traditional Thai dance), allowing you to enjoy the food while also experiencing traditional dance, a great pleasure! Additionally, there were many meal options, including desserts, soups, rice dishes, kway teow, noodles... everything you can think of in Thai cuisine... Outside the restaurant, there were traditional boat noodles and freshly fried banana desserts, which were really filling~
In fact, there are many small stalls in the park. We stopped and bought a Thai milk tea (THB 30), which was not too expensive and delicious~ Choosing the buffet was for convenience, to have air conditioning under the hot sun, and to enjoy live music and dance performances, which was really great!
I unexpectedly discovered that the only downside to this attraction is its remote location, but now with the metro so developed and taxi fares in Thailand so cheap, even taking the metro to the last station and then a taxi is quite convenient! Don't underestimate this affordable attraction~ It's really worth a visit! Highly recommended!!!
This was awesome! The territory is waaay bigger than I expected. Take e-bike (or a regular one) and drive thru the little roads enjoying astonishing scenery. It got dark so I hand to leave and I didn’t explore all of the locations, though it took 4 hours. I guess I could spend a day there. Oh and a lovely buffet, to mention.
This trip to the scenic spot was very pleasant! The scenery is picturesque, the air is fresh, and the natural landscape is refreshing. The scenic area is well managed, the facilities are complete, the signs are clear, and the tour routes are well designed. The staff is warm and friendly and provided a lot of practical suggestions. The only regret is that there are a little more people, but the overall experience is still great. Suitable for family travel or friends, highly recommended to friends who like natural scenery!
The place is beautiful and the weather was good today. This may be the most beautiful place I've visited in Thailand so far.
It is called the "world's largest cultural heritage museum". In addition to being shocked by the architecture and scenery here, you can also see the buildings that have been destroyed. The founders here restored it to 1: 1, as well as the ancient buildings that were relocated in the original site and the buildings designed by the founder himself. (It can be said to be unique), it is also convenient to come here, you can use the BTS light rail method, the price is cheap and there is no traffic jam; Lunch can be eaten in the buffet Thai meal in the park. We choose to avoid many people to order in the afternoon. We can also enjoy food (I like their coconut cakes and pork trotters hot and sour soup). It is recommended to rent a golf cart in the park. It is not recommended to go, because the area is too big. Add the weather is dry and hot; finally, it is recommended to do a good job of sun protection facilities (parasol / sunscreen) Oh! I almost forgot the power bank, I have to bring it. It is a scene to take a shot here, and I can finish the phone call (there is no power bank rented in the park)
Ancient city is located down south of Bangkok about a 30-45 mins drive. This place has over 200 over acres of land and the park itself is not walkable if you want to cover the entire place. You can either rent a bicycle, a motorised bicycle or a buggy to drive around to view all the ancient replica relic in the park. This is worth the visit as the replica are very similar to what you see in other parts of Thailand. The park itself is so huge that you will also require approx 2-3hrs to cover.
I explored the Ancient City, Muang Boran, where life-sized replicas of Thailand’s landmarks brought the country’s history to life. The Erawan Museum, with its massive three-headed elephant statue, was stunning, both inside and out. Strolling along the Chao Phraya River, I enjoyed the local markets and temples. Samut Prakan offered a perfect mix of culture, history, and local charm, making it a great day trip from Bangkok.
the place is great and has a lot of infrastructures that would amaze your eyes. the place is not too crowded so i enjoyed a lot there. would definitely go back there with family
Searching for a good place for a day trip to Bangkok on the Internet, many people recommended the ancient city of Siam. It was a worthwhile trip. It was good to take pictures and fun. The photos couldn't stop at all. I saw that there were many people who chose to rent Thai clothes to experience. It was really a photo ceiling! The most important thing is that I booked this ticket with lunch. It was really amazing. The traditional Thai buffet, all kinds of Thai snacks, highly recommended coconut pancakes, and free dance performances to see, absolutely value for money! I recommend everyone to come to Siam to experience it!
