based on 2123 reviewsLocated in downtown, this museum has a modern decoration style. It has famous paintings by Picasso and other masters, as well as iconic works by Yayoi Kusama. The fifth floor (I think) is about homosexual photography, which fits the tone of San Francisco. There is an American coffee shop where you can rest and have lunch when you are tired at noon. It is worth going.

The Museum of Modern Art in downtown San Francisco is the first museum on the West Coast dedicated exclusively to 20th-century art. The museum's collection includes more than 30,000 works of painting, sculpture, photography, architecture, design, and media art, displayed in 16,000 square meters of exhibition space. It is one of the largest museums in the United States and one of the largest museums of modern and contemporary art in the world.
The building is very beautiful, with ancient Roman ruins art, and the green plants are also very beautiful. The place is not big, suitable for taking pictures
The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art is one of our favorite places in this trip to San Francisco. There are many exhibits, including paintings, sculptures, wax figures, photography, mobile art, etc. It took most of the day to visit several floors, and this was just a quick glance. If you want to have a deep understanding of each art work, you will not be bored if you stay here for a whole day. What impressed us was that several wax figures were super realistic. We were still wondering if they were performance artists standing there, but they were really wax figures.
The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art is a cultural and art museum that people like and it is worth a visit. Although it is not as famous as the MOMA in New York, it is located in the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA). It is the first museum on the West Coast of the United States dedicated to the collection of modern art (and the second largest in the United States). In 1995, it moved to the "Summa District". The new site is a building designed by the famous Swiss architect Mario Botta.
