Maritime Self-Defense Force Sasebo Museum

I walked from Sasebo station. There is a US Navy facility nearby, and you can feel that it is a military port. Shortly from the US military facility, there is a sail tower. You can enter for free, and the history from the end of the Edo period to the Self-Defense Forces is introduced with a large amount of materials. Personally, the materials before the Pacific War in the Showa era were very valuable and I felt the situation at that time more realistic. There is a souvenir corner on the first floor, and Navy curry is sold.

As a strategic fortress in the west of Japan, Sasebo has the flavor of naval self-defense forces everywhere. There are various warships stationed in Sasebo port. You can see the historical changes of Sasebo as a military fortress in the historical library.

I personally prefer history, so it's also a good choice to have such a museum to visit.
