#thailandtrip What a lovely experience. Went on a Sunday in March. While the parking Iot was busy (did find a spot) it was less busy when I left. Food and souvenir vendors around parking lot. Even with other visitors it seemed serene. Many areas marked and unmarked to rest (shade) and contemplate and meditate. Grounds are in nice shape (except where people walk on the grass (signs politely ask people not to go on grass) with lots of color. I appreciated the two beautiful Bodhi Trees that were planted there by the King in 2000. You can even support (volunteer $ donation of your choice) the bodhi trees by placing some soil on the roots. Nice walking g paths meandering through the space and agin quit serene. Highly recommend.

Seven Jewels Buddha Mountain is a famous attraction located in the suburbs of Pattaya, known for its huge Buddha statue carved into the cliff. This Buddha statue was built to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the ascension of the Thai King Rama IX, using laser technology and gold foil decoration, reaching 109 meters, it is one of the largest Buddha statues in the world. The opening hours of Seven Jewels Buddha Mountain are from 6 am to 6 pm every day, no tickets are required, suitable for the whole family to visit. You can admire the spectacular view of the Buddha statue, take photos and check in, or offer lotus flowers and incense at the small Buddhist temple on the mountain, praying for peace and health. It is an open area so better bring your umbrellas and hats especially that it is usually hot in the area although there are some gazebos where you can rest or meditate. Comfort rooms are available and some stores selling refreshments and souvenirs. We went here via Grab since it is a bit far from the other spots we plan to visit in Pattaya.

The northern face of Khao Chi Chan bears a depiction of Buddha sitting cross-legged with one hand on his knee and the other in his lap. The lone limestone hill was originally used to supply supplies to the local construction industry. On the recommendation of the then Supreme Patriarch, who felt it would be a waste of a perfectly good (and particularly beautiful) mountain, the 109-meter-tall and 70-meter-wide image was carved into the rock and then marked out in gold in 1996 to commemorate His Majesty the King of Thailand's golden jubilee. The image was created with computer software and then laser-etched onto the side of Khao Chi Chan. This was completed totally at night to allow the laser's light to be viewed more clearly. The image would be fixed and updated during the day.
