Hiromi's talent? EXQUISITE! Moore Theatre experience? AWFUL!
As always, Hiromi's talent is incredible and she is totally entertaining! But, ......the post-performance experience I had was miserable. With the full intent of buying a CD and getting it autographed...
We headed to The Moore Theatre for a show with friends, excited for a night out at one of Seattle’s oldest and most iconic venues. The atmosphere as you step in definitely feels historic ornate details along the balcony railings and that classic theatre charm that gives it so much character. The show itself was great, and sharing the experience with friends made it all the more enjoyable. The acoustics held up well, and the energy of the crowd was lively and fun. That said, it’s hard to ignore the seating situation. The seats were noticeably tight and not the most comfortable for a longer performance. You really feel close to your neighbors, maybe closer than you’d like! And as the night went on, the theatre got surprisingly warm, which didn’t help with the already snug feeling. Despite these quirks, it was still a good night out. I’d say if you’re going with a good group of friends and you’re ready for a bit of old-school theatre charm (and don’t mind sacrificing a bit of comfort), The Moore can still offer a fun evening.

Great sound! Great experience! Get the hotel across the road.
I thought to give an current review for the Moore Theatre. I had a seat on the bottom level. I saw Jerry Cantrell play live with his band, with Filter as support act. So it was rockin! The sound was fantastic. Can't fault it. It was March but was not hot like other reviews say. Temperature was adequate. I stayed at the Kimpton Pallidian hotel just across the road which I highly suggest for those from out of town (I was an Australian visiting) for convenience and it was very nice, comfortable and safe. There is no taxi line. Perhaps you can Uber to a hotel further, however, The Moore holds a fair few people. One thing for people to be aware of is that you may have to line up to get in even if you have tickets. Bring an umbrella or wear rain/wind proof jacket. There is no shelter where you line up.
