Seoul Tower Cherry Blossom Tour|Namsan’s Stunning Cherry Blossom Tunnel, April is the Perfect Time!
On April 11th, after several days of continuous rain, Seoul finally cleared up! The moment the sunlight broke through the clouds, I knew—today I must go to Namsan to see the cherry blossoms!
Set off in the morning for N Seoul Tower, and the entire winding road of Namsan has completely transformed into a giant cherry blossom tunnel. Cherry blossoms bloom fully on both sides, with layers of pink and white petals. Look up, there are flowers; turn around, there are flowers—360° of beauty with no blind spots. A gentle breeze blows, petals flutter down like a soft cherry blossom rain. Every snap is wallpaper-worthy, no filter needed.
If you happen to be in Seoul these days or are hesitating whether to come see the cherry blossoms, don’t think twice—just go! Namsan is currently at its best viewing period, and if you miss it, you’ll have to wait a whole year.
🚌 Transportation Tips & Friendly Advice
1️⃣ How to get up Namsan with the least effort?
From Chungmuro Station, take Exit 2, and right in front is a bus stop. Take bus 01A or 01B here, which goes directly to the foot of Seoul Tower, so you don’t have to climb at all—super friendly for those with less stamina.
⚠️ Weekend tip: There will be more passengers on weekends, so expect queues. If you miss one bus, don’t worry; buses come frequently every few minutes, just patiently wait for the next one.
2️⃣ A little secret after getting off (100% effort-saving)
Many people follow the crowd and climb the big slope leading to the platform below Seoul Tower—don’t do that! There’s actually an easier way:
After getting off, walk in the opposite direction (downhill) for a few dozen meters, and you’ll see a plaza full of panda sculptures (super cute!). Enter the plaza, and inside is the first-floor entrance to Seoul Tower. Take the elevator up, and you’ll come out directly on the observation deck—time-saving and effortless. Remember to keep this tip to yourself!
3️⃣ Downhill route: a choice between romance and stamina
If you have plenty of time and energy, I highly recommend walking down the mountain. Walk through the cherry blossom tunnel, surrounded by floral fragrance, petals fluttering overhead, sunlight filtering through the branches—this kind of romance is beyond words. Stop to take photos along the way; it feels like a healing experience.
If you walk down, you’ll eventually reach Dongguk University Station to take the subway. There’s also a Shilla Duty-Free Shop nearby (up on the mountain), so if you still have energy, you can check it out. There’s a free shuttle bus between the subway station and the duty-free shop, so no need to climb back up yourself.
❗ But honestly: the walk down is not short, taking about 30-40 minutes. If you plan to spend half a day enjoying cherry blossoms at Namsan, it’s totally worth it; but if you have other plans later or are already tired, it’s better to return the same way to the bus stop and take the bus down—saving time and effort.
📸 Photo Tips
· Best spot: The curve of the cherry blossom tunnel near the bus stop, where you can capture traffic, cherry blossoms, and Seoul Tower in one frame.
· Outfit suggestion: Light colors (white, beige, light pink) look best and match perfectly with the cherry blossoms.
· Time suggestion: Before 10 AM or after 3 PM for softer light and fewer people.

Show More ReviewsSeoul Tower boasts beautiful scenery and offers panoramic views of the city. You can take a cable car or hike up the mountain. During cherry blossom season, the path is covered in blooming flowers, so I chose to walk up. The mountain isn't high, and the first part is very friendly—a gentle slope where I could take photos along the way. The latter half is a staircase, requiring a bit of physical exertion. The view of the city from the top is stunning. Tickets can be purchased on-site by scanning a QR code, which is convenient. Take the elevator to the lighthouse and walk around the entire tower for panoramic views. You can also buy coffee or drinks to sit down and enjoy the view.
