Cixiu Nunnery

Cixiu Temple is a peaceful place for spiritual practice. The simple architecture exudes solemnity and peace. The environment inside the temple is quiet and far away from the hustle and bustle, allowing people to calm their hearts. A nunnery, located in the former Nanshi District, not far from Chenghuang Temple. You can take the subway to Yuyuan Station and walk there. Cixiu Nunnery is a very simple and elegant nunnery. Although it does not have the gorgeous appearance of other temples, and although the temple is small, the layout is very tasteful.

Cixiu Temple is a Shanghai municipal-level architectural protection unit. The main buildings include the Great Hall and monks' quarters. The temple is now the place for nuns to study and practice at the Shanghai Buddhist College, and has become one of the important bases of the Shanghai Buddhist College.
