A paradise for car lovers! Itinerary: The museum is located at 7565 Boyuan Road, Jiading District, a bit out of the city center. It's recommended to allow 3-4 hours for a thorough tour. Hours are generally 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Tuesday to Sunday (closed on Mondays). Family-friendly: The museum is very child-friendly, especially the interactive facilities on the 3rd floor and the children's playground on the 4th floor. However, please note that admission to the children's playground on the 4th floor usually ends at 4:00 PM. Upgrade your experience: Look out for the vintage car test drive experience at the entrance on the first floor (additional fees may apply, and places are limited). Use the audio guide to learn more about the stories behind the exhibits. Note: Some visitors have noted that the museum's display of modern and new energy vehicles is relatively limited, so be aware if you have high expectations. Rest areas and dining options are limited within the museum, so bring snacks and water.
It is very suitable for adults and children who like cars to play. There are a lot of antique cars, and it popularizes all aspects of knowledge from car history to mechanical principles. It is worth a visit.
Shanghai Automobile Museum is a pilgrimage place for fans. The first professional automotive museum in China is based on the "mobile mechanical epic", condensing a century-old industrial civilization into a four-story exhibition hall. From the reprint of the Mercedes-Benz 1 in 1886 to the elegant body of the Rolls-Royce silver, nearly 70 antique cars are spread like a time tunnel, and each chrome line is engraved with the evolutionary code of industrial aesthetics. The pavilion reconstructs history with immersive scenes: Austin taxis in the old Shanghai street scene, red flags next to the American gas station, with the roar of the engine and the image of the texture of the film, instantly awakening the mechanical romance of the golden age. The children's interactive area uses steering wheel simulators and disassembly models to ignite children's curiosity, while the new energy concept car and autonomous driving technology in the top "future showroom" point to the stars on the wheels. This is not only a treasure trove of steel art, but also an interpretation of the eternal theme of "mobility changes humanity" with the symphony of technology and art. Whether it is hard core mechanical fans, parents and children or design enthusiasts, you can find your own speed and passion in this car hall.
The Shanghai Automobile Museum is the first professional automobile museum in China and the favorite museum for automobile enthusiasts. The Shanghai Automobile Museum has three floors, namely the History Hall, the Collection Hall and the Exploration Hall. They display the development history of automobiles, the structure of various antique cars and automobiles, and technology. The 1st floor History Hall, the 2nd floor Collection Hall and the 3rd floor Exploration Hall provide visitors with a diversified automobile cultural experience.
Comparing several similar websites, Ctrip is better and the ticketing speed is faster. Children are going to see the 130 edge, the staff is very good, gave a ticket-free, saved money just to borrow a voice explanation, the museum can visit three floors bar, there are a lot of vehicles on display, adults are also very eye-opening. There is an appointment outside the gate for a ride in a classic car. Unfortunately, it is said that the quota for the two classic cars is full at noon. There are also several venues on the third floor for children to enjoy and watch small movies.
We arrived at 9:30 am on Sunday. There were not many people. The environment and facilities were good. There were many cars. The children said they were very happy. We finished the shopping in 2-3 hours. There is a comprehensive shopping mall nearby where we can have lunch. We can go back to take a nap in the afternoon. The whole trip was quite relaxing. It is a good place for weekend leisure.
