At the tail end of summer vacation, I hit the Shanghai Book Fair and became a cultured person. Although e-books are all the rage now, traditional paper books still feel the most engaging. Seeing the East China Normal University Press brought back memories of my school days.
It is a very worthwhile place to visit. The historical old buildings are very well preserved. There are many large-scale exhibitions every day. The location is excellent. The environment is beautiful. I really like it 😘
1. Shanghai Exhibition Center It has a strong Russian classical style, as if you are in a fairy tale, and often hosts various luxury exhibitions and activities. It is a good place to visit Citywalk every day. No reservation is required, just enter from Exit 2, which is the main entrance. Recently, the Notre Dame de Paris VR is worth seeing in the East Second Hall, and the experience is extraordinary! ! Tips: The night view is super beautiful! Angelababy’s wedding was held here~
Built in 1955, the Shanghai Exhibition Center was originally named the "Sino-Soviet Friendship Building". It is one of Shanghai's representative buildings and is built in the Russian classical architectural style. The Shanghai Exhibition Center often hosts large-scale international and domestic exhibitions. The original "iron fence" has long been removed to facilitate citizens to appreciate and view the exhibitions.
Before the annual National Day holiday, Shanghai's Light and Shadow Festival is here again! Last year's National Day was shocked by the magnificent light show on the Suzhou River, and this year I simply came to the Shanghai Exhibition Center in the city center. The Shanghai Exhibition Center is a building with a profound historical heritage. Its history can be traced back to the 1950s: After the founding of New China, the country decided to hold a large-scale exhibition of foreign economic and cultural construction achievements in Shanghai, so it was necessary to build an exhibition hall to suit it. Style: The entire building complex presents the Russian classical architectural style, with some Baroque art features. Structure: The main building consists of the prologue hall, the central hall and the cinema. The east and west wings in front are two-story exhibition halls, which are surrounded by a one-story corridor to form a courtyard. Iconic decoration: A gold-plated steel tower stands on the tower, with a five-pointed star with a diameter of four meters on the top of the tower, and a total height of 110.4 meters. Let's see how beautiful the magic city that gave birth to me and raised me can be under the background of light and shadow! I will share notes on the light and shadow show later
This place has given me a better understanding of Shanghai. The concept of a people's city is deeply rooted in people's hearts, and it makes people feel the vitality and charm of this city. I hope there will be more exhibition centers like this in the future, so that we can understand the story of this city more deeply.
Experience the charm of a small space at the Asian Stamp Exhibition The 37th TALK8 Sharing Session organized two events. Both events were wonderful and worth two posts. In the morning session, we went to the Asian International Stamp Exhibition, which is held every four years. The Asian Stamp Exhibition is held in turn by various Asian countries. This year, it happened to coincide with the National Stamp Exhibition, which is held every four years, and the two exhibitions were held together. Speaking of stamps, friends who have read "Flowers" may think of Miss Wang's stamp album worth 100,000 yuan. I also did it when I was a child. I soaked the stamps on the envelopes, carefully removed them with tweezers, and stuck them on the glass window to dry. I collected two or three albums. After entering the digital age, this little hobby was gradually forgotten. This time at the stamp exhibition, I found that stamps are still in the hearts of many people. Maybe because this exhibition is so rare, many senior stamp fans came from all over the country after hearing about it. To be honest, I didn't expect the Asian Stamp Exhibition to be so fun. How to describe it? It's a bit like a small World Expo. In addition to stamps with history and design, there are also various exquisitely made and affordable peripheral products. There are signatures of stamp designers and reality shows at the exhibition site. From two-dimensional to three-dimensional. If the staff is not so busy, you will have the opportunity to listen to them tell the story of stamps. In addition, friends who like to collect stamps are said to have more than 10,000 stamps here. If you are tired of shopping, you can also try postal coffee. I personally recommend the Provincial and Municipal Pavilions and the East Pavilion of the International Pavilion. Each booth design in the Provincial and Municipal Pavilions has its own local characteristics and is particularly good to visit. The International Pavilion made me experience the charm of square stamps connecting all corners of the world. The exhibition venue is the Shanghai Exhibition Center in Jing'an. Locals are used to calling it the Sino-Soviet Friendship Building. It was built in the 1950s and is the first exhibition venue in Shanghai. This is a building with a story and it has many attractions. The building was designed by a Russian architect who won the Stalin Prize. In the era without computer graphics, more than 100 Chinese architects and draftsmen completed hand-drawn design drawings day and night. It was then built by Chinese engineers for more than half a year. This was the speed of China at that time, which amazed Soviet designers. This landmark building is very magnificent and has a unique design. The interior and exterior decoration is mainly in Russian classical style, with some Baroque art features. There is also a large relief made by the China Academy of Art in the building. You may want to appreciate it when you visit the exhibition.
