The Shanghai Fire Museum is located next to the fire station in Changning District, Shanghai. If you don’t want to squeeze in with the crowds during the long holidays, the Shanghai Fire Museum is a place where you can kill time and gain knowledge. It introduces the history of firefighting and you can also learn escape skills.
There are 3 floors in total. There is a fire truck on the first floor. There is a cinema on the second floor, but it has a time slot. After we visited the third floor, we found that we had missed the time. So we couldn't see it and had to go back. There are many collections in the museum, including fire artifacts and paper materials and photos. The things are relatively comprehensive and detailed. It is a very meaningful place for learning.

The Shanghai Fire Museum is such an awe-inspiring place! It not only comprehensively displays the evolution of firefighting history and the development of firefighting technology, but also, through vivid exhibitions and interactive experiences, allows us to deeply feel the fearlessness and dedication of firefighting heroes. It is really both informative and inspiring!
This two-hour visit to the Fire Museum was very beneficial. With a large number of pictures and real objects, we not only learned about the history of Shanghai's firefighting development, how it evolved from the original use of wooden barrels to put out fires, to foreign dragons, water guns, steam fire trucks, internal combustion engine fire trucks, to today's large modern fire trucks and mobile command vehicles, but also learned a lot of firefighting knowledge and escape skills through the explanations of the fire brigade uncles, firefighting skills demonstrations and our own experience of firefighting. It was so interesting!
Every week, the Fire Museum of Museum
