22-month-old baby bravely explores the -5℃ ice and snow world!
Comprehensive warmth and pitfall avoidance guide for young children
Who says little babies can't play in the snow? Today, we took 22-month-old Xixi to successfully unlock the world's largest indoor snow park—Yao Xue Ice and Snow World! This place is truly a winter blessing for babies in the south, with a constant indoor temperature of -5℃. After testing, as long as you are well prepared, even very young babies can play safely and happily!
Since the baby is still small, we skipped skiing and headed straight to the snow play area. Here, there are specially designed activities for kids:
· Snow slide & snow playground: Small snow slopes and play areas where babies can slide down sitting or being held, safe and exciting.
· Snowhouse engineer: Features mini excavators, transport vehicles, and other toys, allowing babies to experience the fun of piling and moving snow.
· Colorful snow village & ice bicycles: The brightly colored snow village is great for exploration, and the ice bicycles require parents to push, making it a wonderful parent-child interaction.
· Must-try: Snowland train: This is an indoor snow train that passes by snowy mountain castle scenery at a gentle speed. Xixi’s eyes lit up when riding it and was very well-behaved throughout.
· Must-visit: Aurora Town. On the first floor, there are dreamy lights and snow effects, providing a stunning photo backdrop for babies.
🧥 Preparation before the trip is crucial! (Keep warm, prevent slipping, and waterproof)
This is the key to successfully playing in the snow with a little baby! The venue offers snow suit and snow boot rentals, but bringing your own will make the baby more comfortable:
1️⃣ Moisture-wicking innerwear + fleece or thin down liner inside, with snow suits and boots rented on site (smallest size available is 24; if smaller, bring your own)
2️⃣ Bring your own warm waterproof gloves! (On-site sizes for babies may not be available and are expensive). Wear thick socks and a warm hat that covers the ears. Sensitive babies can also wear a mask😷
3️⃣ Bring spare clothes and socks to change after playing. Change diapers in advance, and prepare a thermos with hot water, snacks, and moisturizer.
