Wukang Mansion is a protected historic apartment building in the former French Concession area of Shanghai. It was designed by the Hungarian-Slovak architect László Hudec and completed in 1924. It is in the French Renaissance style and is the oldest veranda-style apartment building in Shanghai. Set in the intersection of several roads, the design resembles the bow of a ship and is similar to the famous Flatiron Building in New York City. Due to the limited geographical location, the ground floor at Wukang Mansion is in an arcade style, which shrinks the storefront window inward and leaves room for sidewalks.
