Hehu Hakka Village

Hehu New Residence is known as the "first Hakka". It is the largest Hakka Weicun complex in China, and is the most complete and representative one of the more than 300 Hakka Weijia houses in Shenzhen. Hehu New Residence was built during the Qing Qianlong period (1736-1795), and was built by Luo Ruifeng. The whole was built in the Daoguang period (1782-1850), covering an area of 14,432 square meters. It is now the Longgang Hakka Folk Museum in Shenzhen, and the key cultural relics of Guangdong Province.

I didn't expect that there are such intact traditional residential buildings in the bustling downtown Shenzhen. There are not many tourists here, and there is no need for tickets. Even parking is free. The residential buildings are well repaired, the Hakka style is prominent, and the culture is introduced in detail, which is very good.

Hehu New Residence is known as "China Hakka First Wing", covering an area of 21,000 square meters, with a construction area of 13,779 square meters, 185 meters north and south, 109 meters east and west, and a total of 179 residential units, each of which is composed of1-3 rooms. There is a wide pingping (commonly known as sun Valley) in front of the main entrance of Hehu New Residence. Next to the pingping is a mirror-like half moon-shaped pond called "moon pool". On both sides of the pool are an umbrella-like ancient banyan tree and flagpole stone in Xianfeng years. Hehu New Residence Center Building consists of the main entrance, left and right horizontal gate, Tianxia Street, Yutang, row house, Shangtian Street, fence house, surrounded by walls around the house have several rows of "lookout windows" and "gun eyes" to defend against external disturbance. The whole house has 2 wells for the whole village to drink, there is a complete and reasonable drainage system, and the exit of Hong Yuechi. Hehu New Residence has a strong city wall around it, which is square. The wall is more than 6 meters high and about 1 meter thick. It is built from three-in-one earth and is very strong. The four corners of the wall are set up with a high three-story Xie Peak-style pavilion, connected to the "horse race corridor" on the wall, forming a fortification, the scale is magnificent, the city wall is high, surrounded by Zhaibao. There are three gates on the front of the new residence of Hehu, one on both sides, and the gate is majestic. The two "back" characters in the wall are composed of houses, halls, halls, houses, wells, and corridors. The situation is scattered and complicated, like a maze, easy to guard and attack, and there are "nine days and eighteen wells, ten pavilions and horse corridors". It is a typical Hakka residential building.

Longyuan was built in 1992, is a long-standing citizen park in Shenzhen, where the environment is quiet, the trees are lush and the grass is green. The many sculptures with dragon totems throughout the park are a highlight here. There are not many play facilities in the park, and the residents here are mainly leisurely strolling. The dragon exhibition hall in the park is magnificent and looks like a dragon. There are also many strange landscape stones, which are of great value.
