River Safari is a river-themed zoo located in northern Singapore. It hosts 5000 animals, including endangered species. The park is divided into ecosystems around the world, including the Yangtze River in China, the Mississippi River in America, the Nile in Egypt, the Mekong in Southeast Asia and the Amazon running through South America. The park offers a 15-minute cruise on the Upper Seletar Reservoir and see unique wildlife from all over the globe. Another major attraction is the pair of giant pandas, Kai Kai and Jia Jia, representing over 20 years of amicable relations between Singapore and China.

Awesome and fabulous experience! It was my first time at river safari and it exceeded my experience!! Almost everything is sheltered, some were even in air conditioned enclosures. Amazon quest boat ride was great and fun too. I love the monkey and panda forest because the animals were so up & close to you. I was very fascinated by the vast array of ocean species from the different rivers! I would highly recommend to use your SRV vouchers here.
River Safari has sheltered walkways linking all the
attractions. As such, we had a comfortable visit and
it was further enhanced by the cloudy weather and a
passing rain. We managed to catch a few feeding
schedules and it was very interesting to watch the
rapport established between the rangers and
animals/amantees. We also enjoyed the Once Upon A
River show at 2.30pm (as the 1 1 .30am show was
fully occupied when we reached the show venue).
Advisable to queue up for the show between 30 mins
to an hour in advance. As we visited on a weekday,
there was no queue to the air-conditioned Giant
Panda Forest Park where we watched the more
sociable Kai Kai munching on the bamboo stems
while the shy Jia Jia stayed inside her den and did not
venture out. A very interesting visit indeed.
River Safari Singapore, a place where Singapore house 2 giant panda JiaJia and Kai Kai together with a bunch of red panda! The giant panda is the highlight of the river safari trip and if you are going to the zoo, river safari is a just right next door and you can hoop between these 2 place! Apart from panda, there are fishes, otters and other river creatures in the park. The best park is, the entire park us sheltered and you can head there rain or shine!
Getting There - Car with parking capped at $10, shuttle bus from Khatib Mrt, public buses or taxi.

Highlight - Panda sighting and Amazon River quest
Used SRV to visit river safari and had a real good time there. Most of the area in river safari are air conditioned and sheltered so it is a rain or shine venue.
One of the highlights from our trip was the Amazon River quest that cost $5 for adult and $3 for child on top on the admission fee paid. I would highly recommend this activity as the boat ride will bring you on a quest to sight Brazilian Tapir, Jaguar and many other animals which you would not be able to see otherwise. Note that this activity will usually be suspended on rainy day and it is worthwhile to take it in the morning. My experience is that the animals will go into hiding if the weather is too hot and the chance of seeing them will be slim.
Another key highlight of River Safari is the visit to our giant Panda (Jia Jia and Kai Kai). There would typically be a queue to enter the giant panda forest due to Safe Management Measures and noise control. Other than the 2 giant pandas, you will be able to see red panda near the entrance. Once you exit the Panda forest, you can get to purchase the camera worthy Panda bun. Note that you can get it from the stall next to the restaurant so you can skip the queue if you have no intention to dine in.
Another point to note is that the Reservoir Cruise is suspended until further notice due to Safe Management Measures.
Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to river safari even on a hot day since most of the area are sheltered and you can grab a chilled Starbucks right before you enter.
Three Brushes Singapore has finally covered four zoos (daytime, night, rivers, birds). Go back and organize a zoo guide. In 2020, the Bird Zoo will also complete the moving work, and gather together with the three zoos. For the first time, I think it is the best in the four, the most comfortable one, there are two kinds of boats, one is the river boat, the other is the Amazon drifting, the latter is more fun and exciting, once Not enough, the children are squatting re-ride! The daytime zoo is full of light, and I put on my swimsuit and went straight to the children's playground. It is more than the animal!
