Quinta da Regaleira(The Palace of Monteiro the Millionaire)

A little ghost castle feeling, we went to catch up with the rain that day, the atmosphere was full, but the nine-story demon tower was really general, nothing to mean, the whole manor was still very filmed, and caught up with the rain after the rainbow, or double rainbow, very lucky!

So good! Especially the revelation well (Initiation Well) must go! It's really shocking! This manor is very large, you can stroll slowly.

I love the place and i tried to went early, however at only around 10.10am, the que for the ticket was horrible. I decided to pay a bit more to purchase online so i can go in early as i have other attractions to visit. And when i went in headed straight to the famous underground attraction, its another horror, the que for this was even longer than the que for tickets. This is getting a little way too much hence i decided to abort the idea and just walk around the place. Overall, it was nice.

Sintra, listed as a World Cultural Heritage, is built on the mountain. There are numerous palaces, manors and villas with various architectural styles. Among them, the Regaleira Manor must be visited and photographed. The Regaleira Manor was originally owned by Baron Regaleira, a wealthy businessman from Porto. It was later purchased by the wealthy businessman Monteiro and renovated and expanded from 1904 to 1910. It is also known as the "Palace of Millionaire Monteiro". The magnificent Regaleira Palace + the small and exquisite Regaleira Church + the 40,000 square meters of maze-like garden constitute the entire manor. Walking through the manor, you will see green trees and verdant scenery, pavilions and corridors, and statues everywhere. The palace and church are hidden among the flowers and trees, like a medieval scroll slowly unfolding. Countless spires, dazzling carvings, complex but not procrastinated, stunning but not vulgar... exotic and beautiful.

I caught a glimpse of it on the Sintra bus. It looked like Gothic spires! It's the manor depicted in the novel! So I went. I thought it would take only one hour. Who knows how big the manor is and how big there is a chapel. Inside, fortresses, underpasses, fountains, rockeries, gardens are all worth taking pictures! Finally, I had tea in the coffee shop and enjoyed the leisure of the manor before I left.

Sintra's Regalella Manor is known as the "Palace of the Millionaire Monteiro". It is amazing that the whole manor has been listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO.
