It is a very nice place to chill around, especially on the weekend. There are also restaurants by the river where you could grab a drink and enjoy your day.
Brisbane is not a big international presence compared to Melbourne and Sydney, but Brisbane remains a vibrant city and a haunting one.
Australia's oldest city, Brisbane, is on both sides of the Brisbane River on the east coast, and the Southbank Park in the centre is on the south bank of the Brisbane River, with park green spaces connected to the city via the Victoria Bridge at the north end and the Goodwill Bridge at the south end to the Garden Corner.
There is no story bridge, no kangaroo horn, and it is worth the attention to the south bank park built along the Brisbane River. My image still stays in the national park full of elderly or children, mottled rust and bare lawns for all seasons. And here is Australia's best city park, artificial beach, lind green road, free pool, Ferris wheel, beautiful cafe, barbecue, open-air picnic, Suncorp Piazza square often broadcast international events and movies. It is suitable for all ages and is very lively. It was only when I arrived at South Bank Park that I really felt the atmosphere of Australian life. The most striking thing in South Bank Park is the big rattan frame (The Grand Arbour), with four seasons of flowers.
The air here is very good, leisure and cozy, there is a small beach and swimming pool, the sand is soft, the water is very clean, when it is warm at noon (I went in winter), there are many parents with their children to play, sometimes I and my classmates will go there after class. There is also a Ferris wheel I always want to sit on! There is also a public barbecue place, and sometimes the teacher takes us to barbecue. There is a particularly cute ice cream shop on the street next to it, which is where we especially love to go out to school. There is also a museum and a Art Gallery nearby, both free, you can go around when you have time.
Southbank Park was originally the venue of the 1988 World Expo. It is located on the south bank of the Brisbane River. It is a strip-shaped hydrophilic park built along the river, connected by Victoria Bridge and other northern Brisbane cities. Southbank Park is also the cultural centre of Brisbane, with Queensland State Art Museum, Library, Museum, Performing Arts Centre and other cultural venues gathered in the northernmost part of the park. The Brisbane Ferris wheel is a landmark in the park, which also includes a Nepalese wooden tower, a statue of Confucius, man-made beaches, lagoons, swimming pools, children's playground, weekend fairs, amphitheatre and the Big Rattan Trail.
Brisbane is Australia's third largest city. The South Bank Park is located on the south bank of the Brisbane River, across the river from the Brisbane city. The green space in the park is connected to the city via the Victoria Bridge at the north end and to the Garden Corner via the Goodwill Bridge at the south end. Greenland includes rainforest, meadows and squares, as well as features such as riverside promenades, street beaches, Brisbane wheels and fountains. The South Bank and its parklands are one of Brisbane's most important cultural areas.
