We decided to have a drive to the top of the mountain en route to Lake Orta. The roads are good, and while you have to pay 10 euros to enter the main area, it was worth it for the walks and the views...

Easily accessible from Stresa by cable car. As soon as you reach the top, the view is truly wonderful. The only pity are the repeater antennas and the roller coaster

The view is impressive. You can see all the lakes from this mountain. It’s very funny experience also if to arrive it costs 20€ (return ticket).

a must do if you pass by this area: - take this old fashionned « funnivia » - dont take the last chairlift, and finish by foot, as it is only a 10 minutes easy walk. Views on lake orta, lake maggiore...
