Show More ReviewsClimbing Mount Tai from Hongmen, Jingshiyu is a scenic spot after passing Doumu Palace. There are many cliff carvings here. There is also a legend about Jingshiyu. It is said that when Tang Monk and his disciples returned from the journey to obtain Buddhist scriptures, all the scriptures fell into the river after the last difficulty. Sun Wukong fished out all the scriptures and spread them flat on stones to dry. Who knew that when the scriptures were uncovered, some of them were printed on the stones. This is the origin of Jingshiyu.
