This tiny hidden Oni museum is one of the most interesting things on Megijima.

Hidden in Megijima's welcoming center don't miss this tiny (one room only) museum devoted to Oni around Japan. While all the text is in Japanese only, the traditional Oni masks and costumes are fasci...

    It's good for a break.

    Original Text

I was tired of seeing the art of Megijima, so I took a break while waiting for the ferry to Ogijima. It's hot outside, but the cooler is working inside. Since I had time, when I entered the pitch-black space that was hanging like a cave, the reason why it was called Onigashima was explained with dolls and captions. It was dark so I felt even cooler.

    Terminal of Megi port

    Original Text

It was positioned as a terminal and information center at Megi Port. Based here, I decided to go sightseeing on the island, and the boarding on my way home was also from here. It was a facility made by the effort as a tourist destination.

Building that becomes the entrance of onnagishima

    Original Text

This is the first building you will see when you arrive at Megijima by ferry. It was surrounded by a stone wall called Ote, and there was a seagull object on it, and it was a building like Megijima. Here, you can buy a bus ticket to Oni Cave, the most tourist attraction on Megijima. Also, I thought it would be a good idea to stop by because I could check information on the island.

    Canteen?

    Original Text

It was under construction. We sell dining rooms, bus ticket offices, rental cycles, and a few souvenirs. Perhaps because it's early in the morning and there are few customers, it's unique to the island that I don't feel much business.
